Kiawah Island Beachfront
Experience Kiawah Island beachfront serenity at the western end of Eugenia Ave., the island's oldest and quietest street. The house nestles into the dunes, with excellent views of the beach. The adjacent boardwalk has you on the beach in less than a minute, and children walk to the beach without crossing a street. This 5200 sq ft, traditional Charleston single house-built in 1998-is our home, not a full-time rental property. Furnishings, linens and equpment are upscale. In fact, renting this through the KI Resort would require a downgrade in the quality of linens. (You'll not find much like it here or elsewhere on the rental market). At the same time, this is a sturdy beach house, designed for family vacations. An open floor plan makes it ideal for large family gatherings. The large, open kitchen is perfect for team cooking. Bedrooms are large and bright. There is an elevator, and one bedroom/bath is designed for wheelchair access. We are located near the front gate, less than 10 minutes from Freshfields, with upscale, off-island shopping. Our guests may enjoy Kiawah's 5 excellent golf courses, including the Ocean Course, Pete Dye's Ryder Cub masterpiece. This summer, our rental rates have been discounted 20% compared with last year! Screen porch on the beach is perfect for families (even in the summer, this is a gathering place, as there is a constant ocean breeze). The is an interesting collection of 20th century lithographs, and an excellent CD library. Large screen TV and DVD player.
