It is a three story A-Frame house with windows from floor to peak filling the north wall. The living, dining, kitchen, and bath are on the ground floor. The second floor loft has a double bed. The third floor loft has four single beds. The canyon view is visible from all three floors.
Take advantage of Frankehäfen's seclusion and enjoy hiking and the local flora and fauna. The setting is perfect for writers, artists, geologists, and bird watchers or for those seeking rest and relaxation. The gazebo has a beautiful view of Thompson Canyon, Walker Basin, and the surrounding mountains. Decks surround the house.
The town of Lake Isabella is just a forty-five minute drive away. There you will find groceries and gasoline. The nearby lake and Kern River provide the more adventurous with opportunities for fishing, boating, water-skiing, and white water rafting.

Rental Rate Notes
An additional fee is charged for each of the third through sixth guests (+$15/daily; +$75/weekly). Daily Rate: 3 guests=$135; 4 guests=$150; 5 guests=$165; 6 guests=$180 per day. Weekly Rate: 2 guests=$750; 3 guests=$825; 4 guests=$900; 5 guests=$975; 6 guests=$1,050 per week.Rental Policies
Two night mininum stay. References required. Check-in is not available on some major holidays; please inquire.
Reservations must be made a minimum of 1 week before your planned arrival. $150 refundable security deposit. A deposit of 50% of the total rental cost is due with the contract to secure your reservation. Payment by money order, cashier's check, or personal check.
The deposit is refundable if the reservation is cancelled at least two weeks before your scheduled arrival.
