Swan's Island is reached via a thirty minute ride on a 17 car state-run ferry from Bass Harbor on Mt. Desert Island (Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor). Harborside is a totally renovated (2005) seaside cottage on Burnt Coat Harbor in a working fishing village. The views are spectacular and all water activities are available on site. Watch from your deck as the lobstermen unload their catch and walk two hundred feet to choose your dinner right from the sea. Hiking and biking opportunites abound.
