Description of the Property
For total seclusion and privacy this is the place to be!! Private and picturesque 480 sq. ft log cabin is the only dwelling on our 3.5 acre lake. The nearest neighbor is over 1/4 mile away!! The cabin is on part of our parcel of 85 acres of woods, streams, meadows, and even a gorge! The cabin has a large living room with stone fireplace, large picture window overlooking the covered front porch and lake, a queen sized sofa bed, and dining table. There is a kitchen equipped with all that's necessary to cook a full meal (microwave, stove top, toaster oven, all utensils, etc.) as well as an outdoor gas grill and a charcoal BBQ if you prefer. The covered front porch has cushioned furniture and 2 hanging rope chairs that are very comfortable. There is a large outdoor picnic table as well as hammocks and chairs hanging from trees near the cabin. Benches are scattered around the lake and along hiking trails for your comfort. There is good outdoor lighting around the cabin. Located in the northern portion of Dutchess County in the beautiful Hudson Valley we are close to the historic towns and mansions of Rhinebeck, Hyde Park, and Millbrook and only 2 hours from mid-town Manhattan. There are many fine restaurants and antique shops in the area as well as the Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome. You can spend your entire time on the grounds relaxing in our hammocks and hanging chairs, sitting by the fireplace, hiking on our marked trails or exploring unmarked terrain, swimming, or playing in the lake in our rowboat or inflatable boats. We are only 3 miles from the town of Stanfordville where there is a good restaurant, grocery store, pharmacy, etc.

Rental Rate Notes
Weekly rentals only during June, July, and August with weeks beginning and ending on Fridays.Rental Policies
50% deposit required to secure reservation with payment in full due one month in advance. Security deposit of $600 for weekly rentals and $300 for 2 or 3 day rentals is also required at that time. Stays of less than 7 days are subject to sales & lodging tax. Weekly rentals subject to lodging tax only. Weekly rentals begin at 3 PM on Fridays and end at 11 AM the following Friday. Advance booking for stays of less than one week are not accepted for the months of June, July, or August. Weekend bookings for those months are only accepted a week prior to your requested stay (if we do not already have a full week booked). We request that you provide us with 2 references. Cancellation policies are explained on our web site. NO SMOKING IN CABIN. NO PETS. NO GUNS.
