Description of the Property
Balam Ek: is an ocean-front, private home located ˝ Mile from central Akumal. This beautiful house is designed taking advantage of the Caribbean breeze and the view to the ocean from every room in the house. There are simple and elegant Mexican decorations in every detail of this villa.
The patio leads out to a beach and snorkeling access into Half Moon Bay. The beautiful small round pool is seating in a large wooden deck where the panoramic view invites you to relaxation with the drink of your predilection in reclining chairs.
In the upper floor is the master bedroom with a king size bed, full bathroom with bathtub. There is a balcony in the masterbedroom with view of the Caribbean. There is also a small connected bedroom with a single bed.
The second bedroom upstairs it have two queen size beds and one single bed, also this bedroom has full bathroom and a large window with ocean view. Down stairs is the third bedroom with a king size bed a private terrace. All the bedrooms, has ceiling fans and air conditioning.
The living room down stairs has spacious area, comfortable and relaxing, There is a table with a satellite Tv/vcr, videos. also a radio-stereo and CD player, the dining area has a big wooden table for six.
Kitchen: is decorated with a Mexican style and It's fully equipped In the pantry you can find all the utensils. In the large terrace there is also a gas and charcoal Grill, if you wish you can have your own meal prepared at home. (Cook is extra).
The house also have an attached two story studio with delicate decoration, upstairs is the bedroom with a king size bed, a sofa bed, closet, full bathroom with a Jacuzzi and view of the ocean, large balcony with hammocks and chairs to enjoy the great view of the coconut trees and the turquoise water of the Caribbean sea. Downstairs is the living and dining area with complete kitchen, stove, refrigerator, all the utensils. There is also a terrace with chairs and reclining chairs. This is perfect for a couple and a child.

Bikes and Walks through the jungle Akumal opens the door to adventures in the jungle, where visitors may learn more about Quintana Roo's marvelous flora and fauna, and experience the wonders of exploring the wilderness unfolding. You may admire colorful tropical birds flying through the towering trees, or suddenly encounter some Mayan ruins and cenotes in the heart of this exotic jungle.

Restaurants & night events Akumal offers an excellent variety of restaurants with local and international specialties —Mexican, Italian, seafood, etc. Lol Ha restaurant offers a flamenco dance show on Wednesdays, and a Mexican dance group on Fridays. At the Akumal Open Air Stage there are also great presentations, such as live music with national and international bands, theater groups, dance groups, and much more. Not to be missed!
Archaeological sites Most of the ancient archaeological sites and attractions are located less than an hour from Akumal. For instance, Tulum is only 17 miles south of Akumal, and Muyil is 23 miles away. The Coba ruins are located 26 miles northwest of Tulum

Rate are in US dollares per week. Rate is for the main house, Add $500 for guest house. Minimum stays: peak season 7 nights, mid season 5 nights, low season 3 nights. Note: No smoking inside villaRental Policies
A $300 Usd refundable cash deposit fee is mandatory upon arrival to cover any possible damages to the property during your stay. Prices subject to change without notice. Please confirm at all times. We accept Visa, Master Cards and checks.
PAYMENT POLICY -. Your reservation deposit of 50% must be paid within 10 days of receiving your confirmation in order to hold your reservation. -. The balance due will be pay 60 days prior to arrival date. -. If reservations are made less than 60 days before your arrival date, payment in full will be required. .- If reservation is made within 30 days of arrival date, payment in full will be required upon reserving. .- For Holiday: Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years weeks, Presidents day, Easter. 100% payment in full will be required.
Cancellations are effective on the date written notice is received by fax or e-mail in our office. The following assessments will apply on cancellations: - 91 + days prior to arrival $200 US - 61 90 days prior to arrival 50% of rent - Less than 60 days prior to arrival 100% of rent - Christmas & New Years 100% of rent 7 nights minimum holiday stay.
