Enjoy Beech Mountain's excellent ski resort - Ski Beech, during the day, and then relax at one of the many fine restaurants or pubs, in the evenings. Our home is located in a peaceful scenic cul-de-sac, nestled in the woods, just 1 minute to Ski Beech. and the Ice Skating Rink. We have beautiful views from every room. Our Professional Housekeeper prepares the Chalet prior to your arrival. We have just added New Canadian Maple Hardwood Floors, and a new Stone Hearth around the Circular Fire Place, as well as a new Stone Floor in the Entry way. The Floors in both bedrooms have also just been done with Solid Oak Flooring. No carpeting at all. Tjhe Beech Mountain Country Club facilities are available for your use. Some of the amenities include a huge Heated Swimming Pool, Tennis, Gym, Beech Mountain Club House Dining, Day Camp and Teen activities, or lunch on the award winning Golf Course. Cool off in the summer, at our 5000 foot elevation, Beech Mountain temperatures range in the 70's during the day, and into the low 60's at night. Bring sweatshirts! Leah's Retreat is a wonderful vacation destination. It is clean and comfortable, has lots of morning sunshine and a spectacular view of the mountain. Mike and Sherry are the best landlords ever, and will do anything within their power to make your stay a most memorable one.

Our family really enjoyed our stay at Leahs Beech Mountain Retreat. The chalet was exactly as advertised and had everything we needed while we there. Though the chalet was nice, dealing with Mike was even nicer. I'm always a little skeptical when I have to rent from someone I don't know or have never met. However, from our initial contact to the return deposit after our trip (which was about 50 emails!), Mike was friendly, professional, honest and did everything he could to make sure we had everything we needed and had a good time. For example, we asked about a DVD player and the chalet didn't have one, but Mike went out and got one before we arrived! Leahs Beech Mountain Retreat is a great place to stay, so we recommend it wholeheartedly. But, more importantly, we can recommend any property as long as you are dealing with Mountain Mike. Thanks again Mike for a great experience.

Hi! Hurricane Isabel ran us away from the coast just one day into our vacation. Soooo.we came back home and searched online (frantically!) for a place to stay at the mountains. We have three children (one is almost grown!) and wanted the space and atmosphere of a real home as opposed to a hotel. We were so blessed to find Leah's Beech Mountain Retreat. The photos online were impressive but just cannot do justice to the comfortable touches that welcomed us when we arrived OR to the fantastic views from the floor to ceiling windows and from the deck!!! The fireplace was an added joy each evening and if you stay here you just HAVE to watch the sun rise over the mountain. Our children were especially taken with all of the hairpin curves it took to get so high up! It was just what we were hoping for.we went to Pigeon Forge, TN last year and though we really enjoyed ourselves the mountains seemed rather low-lying and "tame"! Another difference we noticed about Beech Mountain is how quaint and pretty the buildings in town are.it isn't gaudy and commercial looking. Also, you have so many choices! You can hole up in your chalet and just drink in the quiet and the scenery; you can drive to any number of wonderful places such as Grandfather Mountain, Mystery Hill and so many more. We did some of both! :) Mike, thank you for taking our reservation on the same day we were to arrive! We especially appreciated your coming out to welcome us when we got there and it did not go unnoticed that you let us settle in and waited until the next day before having us sign the rental agreement. :) What could have turned out to be a very disappointing time due to the hurricane and our ruined beach vacation has instead become a wonderful memory for our family. This was especially precious to us as our oldest will soon be "flying the coop" and this was probably our last vacation with all of us together. The rest of us definitely plan on a return visit to "our" chalet! Thank you so much! The Kirklands :)

We rented this great place the first week of Feb. 2004. It was a nice and comfortable. The fireplace was really warm. It was snowy and cold while we were there. The location was perfect. We were so close to Beech Mountain that we could use the two radios for communication with our son. We cooked dinner 3 out of 4 nights. The cabin had everything we needed. The views were awesome. One morning we watched the fog roll in over the mountain and about 30 minutes later it was gone. It has easy access to Beech Mountain Parkway. You are so close to the resort. The owners made our vacation great by renting us such a nice place to stay. We hope to go back in Feb of 2005.

Rental Rate Notes
Rates Includes 1 time Housekeeping Fee. For stays of 2 Nights Only, there is a 70. Housekeeping Fee. ****Note: Rent 3 Months or more, the rates are substantially reduced, and Tax Free. Ask about our Long Term Rental Rates, we will rent per year. **** Rates Below were Reduced, effective, Oct. 3rd, 2008. Reduced Rate Lift Tickets, Purchase with Vacation Home Rental and receive $10. off of the per day, Adult, Use Anytime Lift Ticket, includes Weekends and all Holidays. Can also be used for future seasons. .Rental Policies
A 50% Deposit is required to reserve your dates, with the balance due, 60 days prior to your arrival. Winter Holiday Rate is from December 19th through January 3rd. Reserve any 3 consecutive Months and receive a sustantial discount on the rent, and TAX FREE. Housekeeping Fee is INCLUDED in the Rental Rates, except for stays less than 3 nights.
A security deposit is required, and will be mailed back to you, 1 week after you depart, if there is no damage to the home.
Your deposit will be refunded upon cancellation, if cancelled at least 60 days prior to your reservation date, 90 days for Holiday Periods.
