Description of the Property
Stroll down to the seawall at sunset and sip a glass of champagne as you watch the sun slide into the sea. This oceanfront complex will delight you with all that it has to offer to families - with or without children.
Our Cottage is an upstairs end unit with no one on 3 sides - and only one common wall. We overlook the main entry waterfall and pond, and have a peek view of the San Luis Rey River. The Historic Oceanside Marina and Harbor is just across the river. We are located in the main complex of North Coast Village just above the main entry waterfall. It is just a short lovely stroll through the gardens of our beautiful complex to get to the sand and waves. If you are pushing a stroller. there are some shortcuts to the beach . or you can always take the sidewalk which runs from the front entry gates all the way around down Breakwater Way to the edge of the sand. Either way . you are not more than 5 minutes to the beach.
Pacific Street dead ends now at South Harbor Drive and you can once again access the harbor shops and restaurants via a short 2 minute walk across the San Luis Rey river. Just a few hundred yards from our front door is the new access gate for the San Luis Rey Bike trail - a paved biking trail that goes about 15 miles up river. A new bridge is scheduled to be built over the San Luis Rey which will provide a pedestrian walkway over the river and winding up at the lighthouse- but it has yet to be started. The freeway cannot be heard at all - and our only other noise factor is the train which is not very far away offering coastal rail service between San Diego and all points West. There is no RR crossing nearby - which means no regular tooting of whistles. However, you will feel the rumble as the trains pass by. We regularly rent to families for extended periods and have had no complaints - and you may ask for references from past guests if you think this might be a concern.
We are family friendly with lowered prices as an offset for the fact that our unit doesn't face the ocean, and is closer to the RR tracks. It's still a very expensive beach cottage for a great motel type price. G2 is outfitted beautifully and comfortably with top of the line beds and equipment to give our customers the most value for their vacation dollars. We feature Sealy Posturpedic and Spring Air beds - with pillow top luxury mattresses of top quality. Our linens are crisp and clean and we offer our comforters with duvee for your protection and sanitation. Our condo is cleaned after each weekly rental - and updated frequently throughout the year to provide complete accessories in good working order for each vacation rental.
Our Guest reviews give us a 9 overall with 10 being highest. Families tell us over and over that they loved our condo for all that it has to offer. We have a portable crib - crib sheets, portable high chair, umbrella stroller, plus toddler toys for indoors and sand toys for outdoors. We also have game boards, beach equipment including cooler, chairs, mats and towels.and a complete video library of some 50 tapes and DVD's. We have a Color Tv and VCR in every bedroom and a Vcr/dvd combo unit in our Living Room - watch TV together or apart. Cable TV in every room - and a nice quality Stereo setup in the Living Room (Mp3 compatible). If your kids need to be entertained - send them to their own room to watch their movies - play games or relax. while you unwind in the living room in front of our gas fireplace. Feel free to take the chill off anytime of year - our gas fireplace is available to use year round. For those who must work even while on vacation we have a mini office set up in the master bedroom with a fax machine, hp printer and portable computer table (just bring your own laptop)and a local dialup ISP phone number. We offer FREE high speed DSL internet for those who have ethernet ports on their laptops. Simply put, we tried to provide everything we could think of to keep everyone in your family engaged and connected with fun things to do - whether they are racing off to the beach - or stuck inside during a rain storm.
Our beach in front of North Coast Village is renowned for boogie boarding - and short board surfing. The jetty of the harbor, and the Oceanside Municipal pier make year round wave action dependable and delightful. If you would rather swim in a pool - we have two heated pools for you to sample. Plus, we offer two jacuzzi's and a complete gym for those who are over 18. Men's and women's saunas and dressing rooms are avail in the gym area. We have indoor and outdoor showers with hot and cold water near the main pool - and a professional bbq areq with tables and chairs for you to use while enjoying the evening out by the main pool.
Our complex has billiards, yoga, pingpong, putting green, library, clubhouse and gorgeous gardens with a waterfall and stream system running all through and around it. Visit our koi ponds - and let your kids feed the fish with our special koi food available for purchase from the HOA vending machines.

Rental Rate Notes
10% tax plus $21 registration and $125.00 cleaning is required on all rentals less than 30 days. Rentals of 30 days or longer do not require tax. $500.00 damage deposit on short term rentals - fully refundable within 21 days of departure. $1000.00 damage deposit on rentals of 30 days or longer also fully refundable within 21 days of departure. We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover credit cards without additional fee. Personal Checks are also accepted for payments received 60 or more days in advance of arrival. Payments are in US dollars only. 3 night minimum off season .. 7 night min Sat to Sat high season and most Federal holidays.Rental Policies
All federal holidays require a 7 night stay at slightly higher prices. Christmas and New Years have specific availability dates which change from year to year. During Spring, Fall and Winter we have a 3 night minimum. Watch for our "Puka's" ... which cover odd periods from 2-5 nights throughout the year. Rates posted do not include 10% tax $21 hoa registration and $125.00 cleaning. Added Discounts offered to all Military, Police, Fire and Airline personnel - both active and retired (with proper credentials and proof of affiliation - generally 10% discount on rental rate. $250 advance and a signed reservation agreement is required to hold a reservations more than 60 days into the future. Full payment is expected 60 days prior to arrival. Damage deposit of $500 for short term rentals and $1000 for long term rentals is fully refundable within 21 days of departure. Deposits for damages are refunded within 21 days of departure. Deposits for booking reservation is partial rent and subject to forfeit if you cancel your reservation for any reason. If the condo is rebooked your prepaid rent will be refunded to you.
Our refund policy is spelled out in our contract. We recommend that you purchase trip interruption insurance if you have any concerns about health that may prevent you from continuing your reservation.
