Description of the Property

Located a short 10 mile cab ride north of Puerto Vallarta in the beach village of Bucerias ("place of the divers"), Las Casitas Del Mar provides the perfect hideaway for the vacationer who wishes to enjoy the sparkling crystal waters and the privacy of its uncluttered beaches while allowing one to take advantage of all the Bay of Banderas has to offer. The Casitas are located a mere half block off the beach and consist of four spacious two-bedroom brick and tile cottages and two one-bedroom apartments. All units share a well-manicured common courtyard whose centerpiece is a cobalt-blue tiled mosaic swimming pool and recreation area with shaded seating, wet bar, and bathrooms.

The Casitas

The Casitas lie hidden from the cobblestone street that runs adjacent to it; the brick walls that surround the property provide a wonderfully private setting for you to relax, work on your tan in the warm Mexican sun, or read a book under the cabana while sipping a cold delicious Mexican beer or a frosty margarita. The courtyard, filled with coconut palms, mango trees, and hibiscus shrubs, is manicured daily, and the pool, with its stunning clear cobalt waters, provides cooling relief on a hot day.

The three brick cottages pictured above each feature two-bedrooms and two full baths, a spacious living room with TV/VCR, and a large kitchen with dining bar. The kitchens are well appointed, even to such details as microwave and blender. Each cottage has its own paved patio that faces the pool and courtyard. The bedrooms are large and can be configured with either king or two twin beds. The interiors feature the beautiful tile work, artwork and pottery, thick plaster walls, and curved archways found in a contemporary Mexican casa.

The main building, shown at right, consists of a large upper-floor suite accessed by an exterior stairway. This apartment is the largest of all the casitas; it includes two bedrooms each with its own bath/shower, an expansive living area, air conditioning, and a lavish private terrace overlooking the entire property. It contains a full kitchen, and the bedrooms can be configured as king or two twins as well.

Tucked away on the first floor of the main building are the two one-bedroom suites, each having their own bathroom with shower, living room, and fully-equipped kitchen and are equally well decorated and comfortable as the other apartments.

All casitas feature maid service six times per week. Las Casitas Del Mar has its own private well and water filtration system, assuring guests of a clean water supply for bathing and cooking. In addition, bottled drinking water is supplied to each unit.
