69 South West Ridge is Mountain Ecstasy! Everyone knows that Snowshoe Mountain has the absolute best skiing in the eastern United States but few have discovered its beauty during the spring, summer, and fall months.

Mountain Ecstasy is an oversized, 4600 square foot mountain chalet that boasts six-bedroom, plus a loft with 4.5 bathrooms that sits on top of Snowshoe mountain with the most spectacular view of the western landscape. Your view is endless. Two large 42' decks expand off of the 2 great rooms. You can sit and enjoy evening sunsets that some say rival the most stunning view anywhere in the world. During the spring, summer & fall we have outdoor patio furniture for your enjoyment and comfort. Mountain Ecstasy is located about a half mile from The Village where you can find shopping, restaurants and the ski slopes! Shuttle service is available.

This cozy home is perfect for large family reunions or multi-family vacations with plenty of room for the children to play and not be bored. There are 2 great rooms. The great room on the main floor has a very high cathedral ceiling with a wood burning fireplace and big screen TV. The great room downstairs has a gas fireplace, TV, a Ping Pong table, dishwasher, mini refrigerator and a wet bar. There are 2 sets of double doors on each floor that open up to to the expansive decks that overlook the western landscape.

Mountain Ecstasy offers very roomy sleeping quarters including 2 master bedrooms with king size beds, walk in closets, TV's and their own bathrooms. Two more bedrooms have brand new Queen size beds and matresses and the other 2 bedrooms have 2 Twin beds in each. The loft has 2 Full size beds and a half bath. There are two more full bathrooms, one on each floor.

There is so much to do at Snowshoe in addition to Snow skiing, Snow Boarding & Cross Country skiing! Horseback riding is offered at the stables near Silver Creek, (just a 5 minute drive away). Horseback tours give you a unique and fun perspective of some of the local backcountry. Hiking trails are all over the mountain including the trail around Shavers Lake at the bottom of the mountain. You can actually ride the lift down to the bottom and back up if you wish! You will see herds of deer and maybe get a glimpse of a West Virginia Black Bear! Shavers Lake has a beach area for swimming, as well as The Boat Dock restaurant. You can enjoy fishing, kayaking and canoeing on the lake. Mountain Bike enthusiast are quite familiar with the area with one of the premier racing events held annually every summer. You can rent mountain bikes or bring your own. Take the ride of your life down one of the many trails and ride the ski lift back up to the top of the mountain. One of the best golf courses in West Virginia is a short 10-minute drive away. If you are a golfer, The Raven Golf Course is a must! This is track that you will want to play over and over again without feeling repetitive or the least bit mundane, especially with its trademark 433- yard par four fourth hole that commands a 700-foot drop from tee to green. It is truly outstanding and worth repeating. Summer hiking, mountain biking and golf are just a few of the outdoor activities that will keep you busy during the day, not to mention the area is famous for white-water rafting.
