Aloha & thank you for your interest in our ocean & beachfront vacation home, the Ko'olani Kai "Tranquil Sea". The Ko'olani Kai is located in Hale Koolau, a family owned & operated group of ocean & beach front vacation rental homes in Honolulu, Hawaii located in the fishing town of Hauula on Oahu's North Shore near the Polynesian Cultural Center, Turtle Bay, Kualoa Ranch, and many other wonderful Oahu attractions. We are located approximately 45 minutes from Honolulu International Airport on the North East coast of Oahu; where the Ko'olau Mountains touch the Pacific Ocean. Our community of single family homes, small shops, and quaint restaurants is very different from the high rise retail/ tourist center of Waikiki. With hiking trails and unspoiled reefs, we offer a glimpse of the Oahu of yesteryear with convenient access to the night life and modern pleasures of Honolulu & Waikiki.
The Ko'olani Kai is a direct ocean & beachfront vacation home on the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii and offers breathtaking ocean & mountain views from every room. This spacious (1200+ sf living area) 2 bedroom, 1 bath home was completely remodeled in 2006 with travertine stone floors throughout. The Ko'olani Kai features a new modern and open kitchen with granite countertops, full size stove/range, dishwasher, microwave, side by side fridge, and all the cooking utensils you need to prepare complete meals. The kitchen opens to the living area with a convenient breakfast bar/nook. The living area is richly decorated with warm tropical & plantation style furniture and enjoys wrap-around breath-taking ocean views. There are two queen size sleeper sofas in the living room in addition to a dining area with mahogany dinner table & seating for four - you'll love the hand carved pineapple dining chairs. The master suite has wrap-around ocean & mountain views and is furnished with elegant and tropical teak furniture with a queen size bed. The second bedroom also has a queen size bed and heavy teak and tropical furniture for an elegant feel. Both beds were replaced in 2006 with new ultra plush pillow top mattresses. All areas of the home have ceiling fans, however they are rarely necessary as this home enjoys wonderful tropical breezes year around.
Enjoy relaxing on your direct ocean front deck which opens up to the blue South Pacific ocean only 20 feet away. Your deck area has an outdoor dining table with seating for six. There is plenty of area for sunbathing on the beach or on the grassy yard. Watch spectacular sunrises while soaking in a six man hot tub just steps away. Stroll down the beach to the Hauula beach park and coral preserve for some great snorkeling and swimming or take our ocean kayaks out for some adventure. Close by are world famous North Shore attractions such as the Hauula hiking trails & preserve, Polynesian Cultural Center, Turtle Bay Resort & Golf, Brigham Young University, Sunset Beach, Waimea Bay, Kualoa Ranch and the last unspoiled "Hawaiian" style towns on Oahu. We require a non-refundable 25% deposit to hold reservations with the balance due 30 days prior to arrival.
Payments towards reservations are non-refundable unless due to unforeseen circumstances we are unable to provide the rental, in which case a full refund will be issued.
