Aloha & thank you for your interest in our ocean & beachfront vacation rental, the Hauula Lanai "Balcony Suite". The Hauula Lanai is located in Hale Koolau, a family owned & operated group of ocean & beach front vacation rental homes in Honolulu, Hawaii located in the fishing town of Hauula on Oahu's North Shore near the Polynesian Cultural Center, Turtle Bay, Sacred Falls, and many other wonderful Oahu attractions. We are located approximately 45 minutes from Honolulu International Airport on the North East coast of Oahu; where the Ko'olau Mountains touch the Pacific Ocean. Our community of single family homes, small shops, and quaint restaurants is very different from the high rise retail/ tourist center of Waikiki. With hiking trails and unspoiled reefs, we offer a glimpse of the Oahu of yesteryear with convenient access to the night life and modern pleasures of Honolulu & Waikiki.
The Hau'ula Lanai "Balcony over Hauula" is a large, air-conditioned (by ultra quiet mini-split) duplex (1200+ sf living area) 2 bedroom, 1 bath direct oceanfront rental that enjoys dramatic views of the entire Hauula Bay & Koolau Mountains from its expansive (400+sf) private oceanfront lanai "balcony." The living area is richly decorated with warm tropical & plantation style furniture and enjoys wrap-around breath-taking ocean views. There is a queen size futon, two recliners, and a plantation chair in the living room which is adjacent to the Kitchen & dining area featuring a teak dining table & seating for four. The Hauula Lanai has a remodeled kitchen and bath with granite countertops, stainless steel stove/range, built-in microwave, full size fridge, travertine stone floors, brushed nickel fixtures, and all the cooking utensils you need to prepare a complete meal. The 1st bedroom has great ocean, mountain, & garden views and features a teak & bamboo King size bedroom set. The 2nd bedroom has tranquil garden views and enjoys a queen size extra plus pillow top bed. All areas of the home have individually controlled mini-split air conditioning and ceiling fans, however they are rarely necessary as this home enjoys wonderful tropical breezes year around. The spacious and airy Hauula Lanai is by far our most private vacation rental and the perfect place to relax "Hawaiian Style."

On-Site Amenities
Our properties are directly on the ocean/beach with amazing views. Enjoy using our custom-made stone BBQ pits (some with ocean views) and picnicking on our beach. At the end of a busy day out come back and relax in one of our 4 hot tubs located throughout our property, or get up early and enjoy watching the sunrise over Hauula Bay. We are happy to provide our guests with access to amenities such as snorkel equipment, kayaks, beach & picnic equipment, and more for a nominal service fee. Enjoy relaxing on our expansive Oceanside yards. Hale Ko’olau has over 400 linear feet of beach/oceanfront. There is plenty of area for sunbathing on the beach or on the grassy yard. Watch spectacular sunrises while soaking in one of our nearby hot tubs. Stroll down the beach to the Hauula beach park and coral preserve for some great snorkeling and swimming or take our ocean kayaks out for some adventure. Close by are world famous North Shore attractions such as the Hauula hiking trails & preserve, Polynesian Cultural Center, Turtle Bay Resort & Golf, Brigham Young University, Sunset Beach, Waimea Bay, Kualoa Ranch and the last unspoiled "Hawaiian" style towns on Oahu.
