Aloha & thank you for your interest in our garden view vacation rental suite, the Kamai "Garden Suite". The Kamai is located in Hale Koolau, a family owned & operated group of ocean & beach front vacation rental homes in Honolulu, Hawaii located in the fishing town of Hauula on Oahu's North Shore near the Polynesian Cultural Center, Turtle Bay, Kualoa Ranch, and many other wonderful Oahu attractions. We are located approximately 45 minutes from Honolulu International Airport on the North East coast of Oahu; where the Ko'olau Mountains touch the Pacific Ocean. Our community of single family homes, small shops, and quaint restaurants is very different from the high rise retail/ tourist center of Waikiki. With hiking trails and unspoiled reefs, we offer a glimpse of the Oahu of yesteryear with convenient access to the night life and modern pleasures of Honolulu & Waikiki.
The Kamai "Garden Suite" is an air conditioned & affordable garden view vacation rental suite just 80 feet from the ocean on the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii and offers a tranquil setting surrounded by indigenous flowers and tropical greenery. This is an economical one bedroom, one bath suite with porcelain tile floors throughout. The Kamai features a remodeled (2007) and open kitchen with granite countertops, a sealed top stove/range, built-in microwave, fridge, and all the cooking utensils you need to prepare complete meals. The adjacent dining area has a teak table with seating for four. The living area is richly decorated with warm tropical & plantation style furniture and opens via sliding glass door to your private 240 sf covered lanai with outdoor dining area all overlooking our tropical courtyard, BBQ area, and hot tub. There is a queen size sleeper sofa in the living room which allows this vacation rental to sleep up to 4 guests. The separate bedroom area is furnished with elegant and tropical teak furniture with a new Sealy pillow-top queen bed and also opens via sliding glass door to a side yard/lanai. The cute "cape cod" style bathroom has tile floors, stand-up shower, and pedestal sink. This suite, while equipped with an ultra quite mini-spit air conditioning system, enjoys cool tropical breezes all year around.
Hale Koolau is a member of the Hawaii Better Business Bureau with an A+ rating and rated "excellent" on Trip Advisor.
On-Site Amenities
Our properties are directly on the ocean/beach with amazing views. Enjoy using our custom-made stone BBQ pits (some with ocean views) and picnicking on our beach. At the end of a busy day out come back and relax in one of our 4 hot tubs located throughout our property, or get up early and enjoy watching the sunrise over Hauula Bay. We are happy to provide our guests with access to amenities such as snorkel equipment, kayaks, beach & picnic equipment, and more for a nominal service fee. Enjoy relaxing on our expansive Oceanside yards. Hale Ko’olau has over 400 linear feet of beach/oceanfront. There is plenty of area for sunbathing on the beach or on the grassy yard. Watch spectacular sunrises while soaking in one of our nearby hot tubs. Stroll down the beach to the Hauula beach park and coral preserve for some great snorkeling and swimming or take our ocean kayaks out for some adventure.
