The Marais is one of the most ancient and picturesque parts of Paris, characterized by its unique 17th century buildings and elegant stores and restaurants. For visitors who wish to explore Paris on foot, this is an excellent point from which to do so, for the marvellous Marais district includes the Place des Vosges, Picasso Museum, Carnavalet Museum, Hotel de Ville and of course the Louvre.

From your doorstep, in around 5 minutes on foot you are also at the Seine River, crossing onto the Islands to visit Notre Dame and the Ile Saint-Louis. All major attractions in the center of Paris are thus within walking distance.

There is no more desirable place for the perfect Parisian experience from sunny, outdoor brasseries to the latest shopping on Rue des Francs Bourgeois to romantic walks along the Seine River.

In a classic 18th century building in the heart of the Marais, lies this newly remodeled apartment (March 2004) with air-conditioning. It has all the modern amenities. The interior is filled with natural light; with the living room and bedroom looking out onto the little street below and rue Rivoli.

The living room is cozy with a comfortable sofa, that is also a fold out queen size mattress.

The entertainment system includes a TV with CNN, DVD player, and a cassette radio. There is a small office built into the living room with a telephone, computer and DSL hook up. There is plenty of storage throughout the living area and into the dining area.

The dining and kitchen area are connected, making it easy to entertain up to 5 guests. The kitchen is well equipped with a microwave/convection oven, burners, stove, refrigerator, and a washer/dryer.

The bedroom has two large closets on either side of the queen size bed. Reading lamps are posted on either side of the bed, and there is a TV/video machine combo with CNN, BBC, etc.

The bathroom has plenty of counter space for personal affairs, and a towel warmer. There is a fabulous shower with two heads, and three jets on the two walls opposite the shower heads. There is also a seat, and room to stand. It is a extremely relaxing experience.
