This privately owned Island home is new and located on the 4th fairway of the Jack Nicklaus-designed Melrose Golf Course in Daufuskie Island, South Carolina. This is just a short ferry ride from Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. If you are looking for your fantasy Island away from the traffic, hustle and bustle of your busy everyday life, this is the perfect resort destination for you.
Our home was personally furnished in a tropical decor by the owner. The cozy family room has a handy wet bar tucked around the corner of the fireplace wall. French doors open to the spacious screened porch with a view of the golf course. Sometimes early in the morning, with the absence of the golfers, you can see a deer quitely grazing or call birds rustling in the leaves.
The full service kitchen with breakfast area is equipped with custom cabinets and appliances for all the comforts of home. There is a separate large dining room for a larger gathering of friends or family. All four bedrooms have 2 beds, 2 of the bedrooms are master suites with their own access to the large deck and screened porch. Three full bathrooms, one of the masterbaths adorns a spacious room with a large garden jet tub.
This 2,500 square foot home on Daufuskie Island, South Carolina, is perfect for long or short term stays, planning a family vacation, golf retreat, small business get togethers, reunions or honeymooners. Much of the charm of Daufuskie, South Carolina, is the amount of diversity that can be found on a small 5 mile long by 2.5 mile wide Island.

It is a short distance to the beach which has 3.5 miles of private view of the beautiful Atlantic Ocean. From the beach one can see Hilton Head, South Carolina, to the North and Tybee Island, Georgia, near Savannah to the South.
Within a few minute bike or golf cart ride, you can enjoy several amenities in the Resort Plantation. The Beach Club offers indoor and outdoor Island dining options, with two pools and separate children's pool. Seasonal kids-camp ages 3-6 and 4-12. The Breathe Spa (full service spa). Full Service Marina . The Melrose Stan Smith designed tennis center provides eight clay courts (two lighted for night play) . The Equestrian Center . Guests can enjoy two 18-hole World Championship golf courses located within the resorts. The Jack Nicklaus-designed course at Melrose and the Tom Weiskoph/ Jay Morrish-designed Bloody Point Course. Beautiful Oceanfront golf setting challenges all levels of golfers and keeps guests coming back for more.
There is so much peace and quiet on Daufuskie Island but, for those of you who miss the city life, the Daufuskie Island Resort offer daily ferries and in minutes you're at Harbour Town on Hilton Head, SC. Here you can shop 'til you drop at unique shops & dine on the water in a charming harbourside setting. Then grab a cab, in 10 minutes you could take in a movie or shop at two of the souths largest outlet centers. Guests can spend a half day or a whole day at Hilton Head, then board a ferry for a relaxing trip back to serenity.

3 Day minimum on daily rates. Rates are in $US and subject to change without notice. All Holiday weeks and special event rates are summer rates. Housekeeping can be arranged at an additional cost. Personal golf cart at home is available for addtional cost. Bike Rentals and golf cart rentals available at Resort. No Smoking :) No Pets :)
Deposit Policy: Daily & Weekly Rentals: A 25% of the entire stay is required at time of booking. The remaining 75% is due 30 days prior to arrival. Cancellations made less than 30 days prior to arrival will result in forfeiture of the deposit.
Refund and Cancellation Policy: Daily and Weekly Rentals Cancellation made less than 30 days prior to arrival will result in forfieture of the deposit. Reservations cancelled more than 30 days in advance will be refunded, less a $50.00 handling fee.
