Description of the Property

Solitude is across the street and Brighton is five minutes further by car while Alta and Snowbird are just the next canyon over. We get over 500 inches of snow per year and we are at 8000 feet elevation. A 4 wheel drive vehicle is required during the winter, SUV optional, but suggested. Our home is constructed in the log cabin style, but it's far from being a cabin. It is over 3500 square feet with full kitchen, dining room, georgeous living room with vaulted ceilings, a massive fireplace and incredible views of Big Cottonwood and Solitude ski resort. Large game room, with Fusball table also has a massive fireplace and full bar made from the one tree which reluctantly had to go to make room for our cabin. Our home was built by a local master craftsman, who also designed and built most of the authentic log furniture. Our home is both grand and incredibly cozy. We have views from all the rooms, and out the front door is the National Forest, with ski and snowshoe access to thousands of unspoiled acres. Solitude Ski resort is moments away by car or for those more hardy individuals, about a 15 minute walk, while Brighton is two miles up canyon. Two bathrooms have jetted tubs and separate showers, and there is a six person very private outdoor Jacuzzi with full canyon views. Our two car garage is also available for your use, and it has plenty of room for your gear. Each room has been carefully decorated with hand crafted furniture and original antiques. There is a large view deck and the house has full front loading laundry facilities. It doesn't get any better. Don't forget that summertime in the Wasatch Range is unforgettable. Fishing, hiking, mountain biking and comfortable days with crisp cool evenings buy the fire make for an incredible time away from home.
