Description of the Property
The Plantation House in Playa del Carmen. Is a true gem. Quietly located between the chic area of Playa's famous 5th Ave. and famous white sandy beaches only one block from each. It's style Inspired by the grand Caribbean Island estates.
The Antigua Suite is the Plantation House's only two bedroom suite. It is in a class all it's own. With 14 foot (4.3 m) high ceilings, more windows than walls, dressed in adjustable shutters, Antigua keeps fresh and bright. Rich, solid wood panel sliding doors open or close the various areas of the open concept suite. Together with the antique patterned floor, and the antique styled furniture pieces, the Plantation House will take you back to the Victorian era with style.
Apart from the master bedroom , there is a large mezzanine looking over the dining and living areas. It consists of a sitting area with an Antique styled sofa or single bed, then another area used as a second bedroom with a queen sized bed, plus a powder room and closet. The dinning area holds a large rustic table able to accommodate eight dinner guests if necessary. From the dinning and living areas there are two sets of eight foot tall louvered french doors that open to a private wooden deck tucked under the trees, where you can peek though the foliage on to the illuminated pool and listen to the fountain from your swinging hammock.
A fully equipped kitchen provides a large refrigerator, stove/oven, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, cookware, dishes, flatware and wine glasses. Bottled water is also included. Just off the kitchen is the laundry room.
Antigua is easily accessible on the ground floor of the Plantation House's second building. It sits quietly protected behind the first building (street side) and the court yard.
The owners have taken care to create a relaxing decor, attention was given to the quality of linens and towels etc. to make your experience here a real treat.
The creators and managers of the Plantation House, a Canadian and French Couple are residing in the first edifice and are always happy to accommodate their guests.
There is housekeeping service twice weekly.

Our beautiful pool includes a built in bench with jacuzzi jets where you can relax under the mature trees. Location is prime, as we are just one block from the beach, one just one block to the evening fun on Fifth Avenue.
Golf clubs are available to borrow for just a $15 lending fee. To try out the many well groomed links in the Mayan Riviera.

Activities and Attractions
A beautiful turquoise beach awaits you just around the corner, where you can relax, safely swim, hire deep sea fishing boats, scuba dive, snorkel, windsurf, kite-board, or sail.
Around the other corner you will find an international Broadway of interesting shops, spas, cafes and restaurants.
In town you may play on beautifully groomed golf coarse, a short drive out side of town will take you to Mayan Ruins and under water caves.

Rental Rate Notes
5th guest is charged $15.00- $25/night , depending on season, unless under 12 years old.Rental Policies
Discounts are rewarded for multiple week rentals.and off season weeks ..........please inquire! Please note that fifth person charges do not apply to children under 10 years of age.
A 50% deposit is required to secure your reservation. The amount can be transfered by yourself through your bank, or a cashiers check can be sent by courier to my bank. paypal is also an option but a 4% charge is added to the deposit amount. The remaining balance can be paid once you arrive in cash or travelers checks.. A damage deposit of $200.00 is required, returned promptly on departure.
A refund of 50% of the deposit will be granted to cancellations made prior to 60 days of reservation. Any refunds rewarded will not include any banking charges. Cancellations due to eminent Hurricane threat, or inability to arrive by air, due to airport damage. Will result in a 100% refund or rescheduling. It is a rare occasion, yet in 2005 we complied with this policy and refunded several reservations due to the Cancun airport being out of service.

We have several championship courses in the area. There is no need to haul your clubs down. We have two sets of clubs available, - Ben Hogan and Callaways for your enjoyment, at a lending fee of just $10 each.
In town is the well groomed Playacar Golf club, just outside of town is the Maya Koba where they host the PGA tour in February, plus the Mayan Palace has a lovely 18 hole par 3.
