It is a short 15-20 minute drive to Route 30 which features many outlet shopping malls, restaurants, Dutch Wonderland amusement park, the wax museum and craft stores. You are also right near the Millenium theatre which features awesome Christian productions. A new attraction is the Turkey Hill Experience. There are many dinner theatres nearby and also Amish home cooking such as Stolzfus restaurant, Good n Plenty, and the Amish Experience. There are several all-you- can-eat buffets near the house- Shady Maple Smorgasbord, Yoder's, and Panda Garden. You can experience a ride in an Amish horse-drawn buggy. The American Music theatre features excellent music entertainment. The Tabernacle, a replica from the Old Testament of the Bible, is found here also. There is also a huge craft & flower warehouse. A short distance away, within an hour's drive, allows you to visit the Reading outlet malls, Hershey Park and Philadelphia. It is only 2 hours away from Washington, D.C., our nation's capitol.
