Our cabin is in Pagosa Springs, CO. It is situated on Lake Pagosa which is great for fishing or just paddling around in our canoe. Wolf Creek Ski area is just thirty five minutes away up the pass. It boasts the most snow in Colorado. It sits at 11,000 feet in elevation so you are guaranteed dry fluffy powder.

We have a three bed room cabin with a beautiful rock fireplace. We purchased our cabin in 2002 and completely remodeled the interior and added a new master bedroom and bathroom plus a two car attached garage. The master bedroom has a grand view of the lake and contains a queen size bed. The second bedroom has a queen bed and the third two twins. We have satellite television, high speed wireless internet, IPod docking station, and a stock of DVDs for your viewing pleasure.

We have made the cabin very comfortable with down comforters and pillows for the beds, original art on the walls, plenty of blankets for cuddling by the fiireplace, and cabin decore throughout the rooms. The kitchen is equipped for the demands of any chef. The binoculars are ready for the avid bird watcher. The lake is full of many bird and fish species and an occasional Bald Eagle. Pagosa Springs is at seven thousand feet elevation and just west of the continental divide. The San Juan Mountains are grand.

Pagosa Springs is home to a historic hot springs. Pagosa is an Indian word for "healing waters". The Hot Springs Resort has over fifteen different soaking pools of varying temperature. There are an assortment of great coffe shops, gourmet restuarants, home town cafes, and friendly grocery stores in Pagosa Springs.

Nearby is Chimney Rock, home to ancient Anasaszi ruins. There is great hiking, biking, rafting, biking, golf, and tennis activities throughout the surrounding area in case you plan a summer time visit. Pagosa is 60 miles from Durango, CO and 200 miles from Santa Fe and Albuquerque, NM. These are the three closest cities with airport services.

Lake Pagosa is foot steps from our back deck. Take a cruise around the lake in the canoe or throw your fishing line out for a rainbow trout. For entertainment and communications, we have a I Pod docking station and provide high speed wireless internet for our guests.

Activities and Attractions

Pagosa Springs is a year round destination for winter and summer activities. In the winter is the nearby Wolf Creek Ski Area, great for downhill and cross country enthusiast. Snowmobiling on forest service land is also quite popular.

Summer brings golf at the nearby 27 hole golf course, whitewater river rafting, hiking, worls class trout fishing, and tennis.

Rental Policies

Lake Pagosa Aspentree Cabin Our family wants you to enjoy our cabin. This is a smoke free house. Please do not smoke. We do not allow pets but we will consider certain exceptions. We only rent to adults and families. A complete list of our policies will be emailed at time of application.We have a $125.00 cleaning fee in addition to the rental charge. If you want to rent the cabin, we ask for half the rental amount as a deposit. The balance of the rental is due seven days prior to check-in. Upon check-in, we need a two hundred dollar damage deposit that will be returned at check-out less any amount for damages. If you had to cancel prior to your reservation , we would only refund your deposit if we found another renter for that date.
