Activities and Attractions
Come explore Arizona from this cozy cabin or just take a break and enjoy the views of the peaks from the wrap around deck. This is a kid-friendly cabin with a tree house which is basically a mini replica of the cabin. Kids (and an occasional adult) love sleeping out there in the summer months. In the winter, bring your chains and your skis or boards for a quick drive to Snow Bowl (7 minute drive to the base). If you want to venture farther, there's Lockett Meadow to see the leaves change (45 min.), the Red Rocks of Sedona (45 min.), various fishing lakes (30 min.) and of course, the Grand Canyon (1.5 hrs.). The whole Flagstaff area is peppered with state and national parks (Sunset Crater, Meteor Crater, Wupakti Ruins, Montezuma's Castle Cliff Dwellings, etc.). Don't forget to explore Flagstaff itself with music in the plaza during the summer, do some star gazing at Lowell Observatory, and enjoy the nightlife: breweries, restaurants, shops...Whether you are coming from across the country or just up from Phoenix, this cabin has not had one complaint and lots of repeat visitors.
