But if you want to vacation and check out Tucson this is an adorable place to stay with lots of Tucson charm. The location is within a block or so of main streets leading in any direction. If you are familiar with Tucson and the Catalina Mountains, the location is just within the city limits and south of the beautiful "foothills.' It is an easy drive to Sabino Canyon for hiking or to the Catalina Highway leading to Mt Lemmon. Yet it is also a quick trip to downtown and the University of Arizona. It has two bedrooms, one full bathroom a sunny living room, and sizable kitchen with a dinette. The master bedroom has slider to the back yard and patio. The house is about 1000 square feet in size with a Huge Fenced back yard. The back yard has views of the Catalinas. The home has an open carport with attached storage and laundry room. The driveway has space easily for three cars. This darling cottage type brick home has just been completely remodeled with a true southwestern feel. The walls are textured and colored; the kitchen and bathroom counters are tiled with a casual coordinated, rustic feel. Ceramic tiled floors in the kitchen and bath and new carpet in the living room and bedrooms. It is furnished in a fresh yet casual manor with a cozy, homey feel. Antique bureaus and crisp, new high end mattresses and bedding. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking and eating with new stainless steel appliances. The laundry/storage room has a washer and dryer. The master bedroom has a new Queen Size bed with a" memory foam" matress for the most comfort . The second bedroom has two single beds. Fresh Bed linens and towels are provided for your arrival. Also, Maid service or weekly house keeper service is available at your request and expense.

There are several world class golf courses in Tucson. Sabino canyon state park is about a miles drive. This is a popular mountain area with 4 miles of paved paths popular for daily walks, hikes, mountain climbing or just an open air tram tour through the canyon. The Catalina Mountain highway is a popular drive to "Summerhaven". Summerhaven is our little mountain community famous for its homemade pies. Getting there is the fun as the views from the climb up the mountain are breathtaking. The" desert museum" is an outside zoo of sorts where one can view the wild life of the southwest. "Old Tucson" is a famous movie set where many western 's since the 50's have been filmed. Both of these sites are on the far west side of Tucson, about a 45 minute drive. The famous Tombstone, Arizona is about a 2 hour drive. It is fun to see the history of Boot Hill. The University of Arizona is approximately 15 minutes away. Our border town of Nogales, Mexico is about an hour south. This can be a fun day of Mexican shopping and eating.
