Directly on the beach and located at the widest point of the Delaware Bay, 25 mi across to NJ, this Island home offers something very special that the large resorts don't have, peace and quiet. Step right onto the beach from this beautiful, recently built beach house. Cast your line into the water and fresh fish are yours for breakfast or dinner, you will need a fishing license, you can put your small boat or kayak in the water, directly from the beach and explore local tributaries where you will find not only the serenity of a wilderness like landscape but also many species of fish and crabs. Children can ride bikes on the quiet Island road, roller blade or play on the beach, collecting shells and sea glass and be amazed at the prehistoric horseshoe crabs that migrate to this area from South America. The house comes fully equiped with dishes, pots and pans, refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, washer and dryer, toaster, blender, Hi Speed wireless internet, DVD, three cable TV's, small library, bed spreads and pillows. Bring your own beach towels and linens. Let the sun rising over the Bay and the sound of sea birds wake you in the morning and the gentle rustle of the Bay lapping at the beach lull you to sleep. South Bowers Island is located on the Eastern shore of the Delaware Bay. There are perhaps 35 cottages located here, some are year round homes but most are summer cottages. We built our home in 2005. Our new home has large decks in the front and back to enjoy sunsets and sunrise. The first floor is completely tiled and the second floor is carpeted. The first floor has one bedroom with a set of bunk beds and an adjoining full bath with four foot shower. The master suite is located on the second floor and offers its own bath with raised soaking tub and seperate four foot shower. The master suite also offers a large glass sliding door that allows the sounds of the Bay to enhance your beach experience. The second floor Dorm Room has one queen and two single beds and is serviced by the hall bath that features a four foot shower. There is a full laundry room located on the second floor. The entire front and back of the first floor features large sliding glass doors that give simply amazing views of the Bay and of the Moores. So bring your favorite book and get ready to enjoy the most sought after amenity of all... the quiet life, the kind that can only be found on South Bowers Island.

Activities and Attractions
Most of the activities listed are on or close by the "Island", usually within a 15 to 30 minute drive. Tax free shopping is available at the Rehobeth factory outlets located about 30 minutes south of the " Island". Yes, there is a Walmart located in Milford, about a 15 minute drive from the house. The "Island" is on the fly way for many exotic and endangered birds that spend time refueling on the shoreline. There is a pair of binoculars at the house but you if you're a serious watcher you might want to bring your own. Depending on the time of year there are special concerts, fireworks and exhibits within a reasonable drive time, that is if you can pull yourself away from this special place.

Rental Rate Notes
House is a year round house with heat and air-conditioning, we also have a wood burning fireplace.Rental Policies
Rentals- Sat to Sat beginning May 2006- Check-out 10:00am, Check-in 1:00pm No groups under 21 yrs of age permitted, unless accompanied by parents. No sub-letting permitted. Photo I.D. required with final payment and signed lease. No pets. No smoking. Tenant agrees that the house will be left in the same condition as when the lease started less normal wear and tear. Rental fee includes all charges
A deposit of 50% of the full lease amount is due at time of booking. Balance of lease amount is due along with security deposit within (30) days of arrival date. Security deposit of $500.00 due with final payment, signed lease and I.D.
Refund- If tenant cancels within (2) weeks of arrival, all money's less security deposit will be forfeited. If tenant cancels prior to (2) weeks of date of arrival, refund, if any, will be determined by the owners ability to re-rent the property for the same amount of money and for the same time period. If successful we will refund full lease amount less (20) percent of said lease amount.
