Description of the Property

Valley Oak Manor is a lovely country home located in the Heart of the Dry Creek Valley wine growing area in Healdsburg. Set slightly elevated on a knoll, this property offers several different areas of relaxation, plenty of outdoor decks and and seating, bbq, and a hot tub, for a wonderful 3 night getaway or wine country vacation. Our guests first drive through a gated driveway and park right at the home. A brick walkway, arbor and gardens frame the entryway. As our guests walk through double doors, they enter the living room, which features hardwood floors, two sofas, a rocking chair, wood stove, and french doors to one of 4 outdoor areas.

Adjacent to the living room is the kitchen and dining area. The kitchen features an extra large butcher block island with heavy duty 4 burner gas range top. Directly behind the counter are side by side refrigerator, double oven, microwave and pantry, and to the right, a large and long viewing window over the sink and countery area provide good work space and storage. The dining area has dining table and chairs, futon (can also sleep 2 additional guests), and 2 wicker chairs. There are 3 sets of french doors which lead out to the decks and hot tub.

The back of the home has 4 sleeping areas and 2 full bathrooms (shower and tub combination), with a master bedroom and two guest bedrooms all having queen beds and pillowtop mattresses. The 4th sleeping area is a queen sleeper sofa and big screen TV (great for sports events, or just catching up on news).

One of the best biking roads in all of Sonoma County is just out your front door. Dry Creek Valley has a loop road which winds from the north end in town (stock up on picnic/ lunch items at Big John's - great gourmet goodies!), and head out to Lambert bride, and circle back to Oak Knoll Manor, or do the "big loop" which goes to Lake Sonoma. Wineries along the way are Lambert Bridge, Dry Creek, Wilson, Lake Sonoma, Ferrari Carano, Preston, Quivara, and Rafanelli.
