Description of the Property

Halfway between Margeretville and Roxbury NY, this lovely, large, dramatic vacation home on 19 wooded acres hasa beautiful, trout stocked swimming pond with a dock, rope swing and gravel beach. The terrific house has 4 very comfortable bedrooms, 2 with queen size beds, two with double twins, sleeps 8 comfortably. Cable television and wifi works out to the pond, sit on the dock and surf the web on your laptop. The main room is a large, high ceilinged full kitchen/living room/dining room/fireplace combo, great for entertaining or just hanging by the fire. There is a separate family/television room with a fine pond view. One bedroom with private powder room on the first floor, the other three bedrooms upstairs. Two full baths, one up and one down. Plenty of privacy yet minutes to golf, hiking, horseback riding, canoe and kayaking, antiquing, great restaurants, the entire mountain experience. A weatherproof ping pong table can be rolled onto the front lawn if it's not already there. Plenty of outdoor furniture and a wraparound deck with a barbecue (charcoal) at your disposal. This house is a true wonderland for kids of all ages, I guarantee you will enjoy it. 2 1/2 hours from NYC. It appeared on Inside Traveler, the blog for National Geographic Traveler magazine. Rental Policies

Rent includes the house only and does NOT include sales tax, housecleaning charge ($120.00), cable/wifi ($20.0 per week or 80.00 per month), heat and phone use. Firewood, catching and eating fish and other amenities are provided free assuming the renter will use these reasonably. Payment of rent in total is required 10 days prior to rental dates upon signing of the lease.

700.00 deposit will be required to make your reservation. Complete rent is due at the signing of the lease no more than 10 days before the rental begins. The deposit will be refunded upon inspection of the house, minus the cleaning,wifi and any phone usage approximately 1 month after you vacate the home.
