The Home. The Livingston Peak home offers views of Livingston Peak, the Absaroka Beartooth Mountains and in the distance an island range that locals call the Crazy Mountains. Livingston is home to some of the best fly-fishing spots in the world. Livingston is only 52 miles from the entrance to Yellowstone Park. But despite being a recreational hub of the area, Livingston is a quiet, small town and is unique in that it has 17 art galleries and only one stoplight. And Livingston is only 52 miles from the entrance to Yellowstone National Park.
The Architecture. It is a must see to believe mountain home. It takes its style from a typical timber frame design, but contains a vaulted ceiling constructed with hand-hewn logs that were individually notched by local wood craftsmen. The architect designed the home to be cantilevered from the 'bowl' and features three levels of living and three levels of viewing. The home has been showcased in several architectural professional journals. Livingston Peak cabin is located on 100 acres next to the Gallatin National Forest and overlooks the Absaroka Beartooth Wilderness in Montana. This mountain retreat sits in one of Montana's most protected, road less areas in the state and offers a rare opportunity for hiking, walking, viewing wildlife. In fact, the millions of acres of Wilderness that is located around you continues uninterrupted all of the way to Yellowstone National Park.
