Description of the Property
Redwood Cottage is a studio cabin nestled in a beautifully forested area, located in the hills of Dry Creek Valley, approximately 6.5 miles from central Healdsburg, just off West Dry Creek Road. It is surrounded by the property owner's 16 acre vineyard and the deck is built from 100 year old redwood. The cabin offers both the connection with our wonderful winegrowing region as well as the peaceful seclusion of a mountain retreat.
West Dry Creek road is not only one of the best bicycle roads in Sonoma County, but also home to some really great wineries, such as Michel Schlumberger, Quivara, Rafanelli, Preston, Bella Wine Caves and much more.
This cabin is furnished with queen size bed, wicker sofa and chairs, VCR (lots of tapes provided), small table, and full bathroom with shower/tub combination. You may experience winegrape farming firsthand, or see the lively activities of Crested Bluejays and squirrels or the tree climbing antics ot Nuthatches. The owners even see wild turkeys.
Outside there is a nice seating area to take in the Dry Creek Valley vineyard views. Ten minutes away there is also Lake Sonoma, with boating and fishing, hiking and picnicking. The owners provide a continental breakfast, picnic basket, and cooler for drinks. There are lots of wonderful places to stock your basket for a picnic including the Dry Creek Store, Dry Creek Produce, and all that 'in town' has to offer.
