Description of the Property
Be one of the first guests to stay in newly constructed "Penthouse Coco Royal" located just one block to the Caribbean's prized Coco Beach, one of the most pristine beaches in Playa Del Carmen in the Mayan Riviera. The building El Meridian completed in December 2006 has a rooftop swimming pool with views of the Caribbean ocean. The exterior is rustic and the interior very Italian modern with open-air living space. This penthouse is located just one block off the main street 5th Avenue (La Quinta), that has hundreds of restaurants, bars, shops, and boutiques. This is on ethe North end of town, know for being less touristy ( no "Burger Kings" , "Starbucks", or t-shirt shops in sight. It is just one block to the most pristine beach in Playa Del Carmen, and it is facing a rustic jungle. At any given point you can see 30 different species of butterflies and 12 types of exotic colored birds from the windows in this bright and sunny condo. You really feel like you are away from the hussle and bustle of the US , Canada, or Europe. Although.if you want to see the masses of people.you can walk just 4 blocks and be on trendy 5th Ave sipping a cappucino listening to the many languages spoken in this eclectic town.
This penthouse is a corner home with floor to ceiling glass windows that let the warm ocean breezes flow through the wide-open living space. The kitchen is outfitted with cherry Italian cabinets, granite, microwave, espresso /coffee maker, and all of the outfittings that your kitchen would have at home. The dining room has seating for 8 people. The main living room has all Italian designed furniture, television with cable tv, a stereo system with cd player, and a wonderfully large balcony that wraps around the entire main floor.
There are two master suites, both with attached private full bathrooms. The master has a private balcony facing a rustic jungle paradise with exotic birds and butterflies. Both bedrooms have 400 thread count sheets and luxury linens. On the main floor is also a ½ bath and a full size washer / dryer. There are air conditioning and ceiling fans in every room in the house.
This amazing penthouse has a 1000 sq. ft private roof-deck with 4 person jacuuzi, outdoor shower, ½ bath, and wet bar with electricity for the blender to make margaritas. You enter this private paradise through an interior staircase in the main living room.
Daily maid service comes included in the rental price of this Penthouse. As well, the manger is just 5 minutes away and speaks perfect English so that any and all needs you have can be met. There is reserved parking in front of the building and a security guard at the main entrance of the building all hours of the night. Renting a car will give you the freedom to explore the entire town, we reccomend a car rental. You are however a 3 minute walk to the beach and a 7 minute walk to all of the restaurants on 5th Avenue. Just come down, breathe in the ocean air, and enjoy your relaxing vacation staying at Penthouse Coco Royal.

Activities and Attractions
This part of Playa Del Carmen is just 45 minutes from the airport. We are located on the North end of Town, the area with more local restaurants, cafes, and sights. There are no loud discos, T-shirt shops, or Cruise Ships dropping people here. It is on a quiet street with jungle across the street, but in 4 blocks you can be back in the thick of things. We are one block to the famous Coco Beach, famous because of the texture of the sand, tranquility, width of the actual beach, and proximity of the reefs to the shore for snorkeling. The coastline here is magical. You really feel so far from home. No matter what you like, it is just minutes away. We are a 5-minute walk to the famous Mamitas Beach Club, where you can sit on the beach and listen to London style house music and have a waiter bring you cocktails all day. Or you can walk down 5th Ave. (just one block away). And stroll the famous La Quinta for restaurants, shopping, nightspots, tourist shops, etc.
This part of Playa is just 10 minutes from the famous ecological park X-Caret, a great place to take the family for a day to see the local wildlife, snorkel , see Mayan culture, etc. You can also go to swim with the dolphins in another park close to Tulum. Tulum is a one-hour drive from our condo, and it should definitely be on your list of things to do if you like Mayan Ruins that are thousands of years old. There are numerous diving sights near Playa. That is what Playa Del Carmen is famous for "2nd best diving in the world as it is know around the world. We have hundreds of dive sights all within an hours drive: caves, freshwater caves ( called cenotes), lagoons, reefs, Cozumel, etc. If you've always wanted to horseback ride on the beach... you can do that too. Everything is within a short walk or drive from this lovely penthouse.

Rental Rate Notes
We have a minimum of 4 nights. We do not accept reservations with children younger than 7 years of age ( if you have a child a year or two younger please inquire). We ask for a refundable security deposit of $500. We allow smoking on the balcony or outdoor roofdeck but not inside the condo. Pets are allowed with permission by the owner, please describe your pet if you have one traveling with you. All reservations require a 50% deposit to hold the dates, then the balance is due 30 days prior to arrival in Playa. There is a reund on the rental if cancelled 60 days prior to reservation. If emergency cancellation without 60 days is necessary ,we will try to rerent the condo for the period of your reservation. If we rerent the condo durning those dates, then we refund your rental minus a $100.00 cancellation fee. If we cannot rerent the condo during the time that you reserved then a 50% refund will be issued.
