Activities and Attractions
Playa del Carmen is located in the heart of the Riviera Maya, on Mexico's stunning Caribbean coast. It is a very cosmopolitan town with a wide variety of intriguing stores, gourmet restaurants, and exciting night clubs guaranteed to suit every taste. The central part of town is mainly pedestrian and whether it is day or night, there is always interesting people and movement along our famous 5th avenue.
The surrounding area is also fascinating. The unique, porous topography of the Yucatan peninsula has created a large network of underground rivers and "cenotes" or sinkholes. These cool, fresh water pools that are hidden in the jungle (and which were considered sacred by the Mayans) are an ideal place to cool off on a hot summer day or the starting point of an exhilarating underwater diving adventure through subterranean caves and caverns.
Mayan ruins, jungle treks, unique eco-amusement parks and secluded beaches are only a short drive away from Playa del Carmen.
Archaeological sites There are three famous Mayan archaeological sites nearby. The closest is Tulum, a stunning site set upon a cliff overlooking the Caribbean. About 40 minutes away from Playa del Carmen, it is one of the most spectacular sites because of its natural surroundings.
Two hours away from Playa is Coba, one of the oldest sites in the peninsula and with the highest pyramid. Coba is a very extensive site and is famous because of it has many remnants of sacbes or white roads, which at one time traversed the peninsula and joined the different Mayan cities and towns.
Three and a half hours away takes us to Chichen Itza, one of the most famous sites of ancient Mayan culture. One of its most famous features occurs every equinox: the shadow of Quetzacoatl, the Plumed Serpent, is seen descending the stairs of the Castle, Chichen Itzas highest pyramid.
Scuba Diving and Snorkeling One of the things the Western Caribbean is most renowned for is snorkeling and scuba diving. The second largest barrier reef runs along the Quintana Roo coast, in front of Playa del Carmen, all the way down to Belize. It is home to a large variety of spectacular marine life that swims in and out of amazing coral gardens.
The crystal clear, turquoise waters of the Caribbean invite professionals and amateurs to dive into its sea and discover an unforgettable and magical world.
Amusement Parks Less than 10 minutes away from Playa del Carmen is Xcaret, one of the most famous eco-parks in Mexico. Driving a bit further will take you to Xel-Ha, another eco-park famous for its quiet meandering river.

Rental Rate Notes
The rate for Studios is based on single or double occupancy. The rate for Suites is based on quadruple occupancy. Rates are per night in US Dollars subject to 12% taxes. Additional persons in room $20US plus 12% Tax Children older than 12 years old are considered adults Children younger than 12 years old are complimentary Rates in Plan EP, meals are not included A credit card is required to proceed and confirm the reservation. 2 Nights deposit will be charged to the credit card submitted at the time of reservation. The credit card will be charged in Mexican Pesos at the prevailing official bank exchange rate at the moment we apply the charge to the credit card. Balance is payable upon arrival. Cancellation Policy: Deposit is refundable ( minus $25 USD, non refundable service fee) only if cancellation is placed at least 14 days prior to arrival date All cancellations should be notified in writing Unused nights, early departures and no shows are non refundable December Policy: The minimum length of stay is 7 nights Deposit Policy: To process and guarantee the reservations, we require a credit card number in order to guarantee the reservation 50% of the total balance will be charged to the credit card number submitted at the time of booking per room, Balance is payable upon arrival. The credit card will be charged in Mexican Pesos at the prevailing official bank exchange rate at the moment we apply the charge to the credit card. Cancellation Policy: Cancellation should be notified in writing. Rates are per night in US Dollars based on single or double occupancy. Rates are subject to Mexican Federal Tax and City taxes which are currently 12%. Charge for additional adults in rooms is $20 USD plus 12% Tax Children older than 12 years old are considered adults, younger than 12 years old are complimentary. Based on availability, the hotel will provide a confirmation number within 48 hours upon request has been acknowledged and payment has been processed. A valid credit card number is required to confirm a reservation. The credit card will be charged in Mexican Pesos at the prevailing official bank exchange rate at the moment the credit card is charged.
