The Hekpa Mountain Lodge has been one of the most often rented vacation homes in South Lake Tahoe since it was built in 2000. Guests from around the world have enjoyed the unique and wondrous amenities here that compliment the majestic views and mountain air in the Lake Tahoe area. Designed as a vacation retreat, the 3500 square foot home features a large private indoor heated swimming pool complete with a waterfall and fireplace, a separate steam room and a separate sauna room and of course a hot tub outside under the stars! Also we have a gourmet kitchen, 2 fireplaces (one by the pool), 3 bedrooms two bath plus a large loft sleeping area, pool table, foozball table, large screen TV plus 3 others, loads of cable stations, DSL wireless internet, Jacuzzi tub (in master bathroom), and picturesque wooded views. Located just 5 miles from the Lake and about the same to Heavenly Ski resort and the casinos, but far enough away on a quite cul de sac in a beautiful wooded area this retreat has "get-away" in mind. Everyone Loves this home and there just isn't anything that compares! Plan Ahead! This home rents near 100% and Dates go fast so reserve ahead more than 90 days with just a $500 deposit. If cancel before 90 days of stay, pay only 15% cancel fee ($15).

Excellent restaurants, wine tasting (ask us about that), and every kind of boating, fishing and water sports. Every kind of snow fun activity. Rainy day? A little worn out? No problem. Enjoy the luxury vacation within a vacation in our luxury lodge. I highly recomend a scenic drive around the lake in the warmer months. several historic homes to see, amazing photos to be taken, excellent lake views, easy to do in a day.

Rental Rate Notes
Nov 15-20 only $350 plus fees below, ok take at least 3 nights. After Nov 20th and until April 15th rates are currently $450 per night plus fees below. Minimum 5 night stay UNLESS less dates exist between paid reservations (check my calendar, usually several of these exceptions) Hold dates further than 90 days in advance with only a $500 deposit that will insure your choice of dates plus lock in the rates in case they change. Full payment always due if within 90 days. In addition to all rental rates below, any stay will also have a $250 cleaning fee and a 10% Local Occupancy tax added. I do also take a security deposit of $500 but that is completely refundable per terms. Any paid reservation will of course lock in these rates but these are the lowest rates ever and I reserve the right to raise them a bit at any time so plan ahead. You'll find these rates about the same as for any home of similar size and quality but nothing compares to the amenities here! Please note Holidays may be extra, always inquire for a quote or any questions you may have. Until contract is signed and deposit or full payment secured no dates are held due to extreme demand for this home.Rental Policies
Check in time is 3:00 PM, and checkout time is 10:00 AM unless some prearrangement in writing has been agreed to by owner. Exceeding maximum occupancy or vehicle limits, excessive noise, allowing any animal on premises without prior agreement in original contract, having any party, or using the property for any event such as a wedding, reception, etc or smoking in the home, using the pool or other amenities in an unsafe manner can result in forfeiture of all fees paid and possible immediate eviction. Sorry but please either be respectful or stay elsewhere. I've never had an unhappy guest in all these years and have never needed to take any such measures but please plan your events or big party elsewhere.
Full payment is required to secure a reservation unless further than 90 days out. If that far in advance I may accept a $500 deposit to hold your dates. So no confusion here with the word "deposit", I always take a "security deposit" of $500 with any reservation, along with full payment, which is refundable after your stay. A deposit to hold a reservation will count against the full payment of course when due within 90 days of reservation dates.
If a cancellation is made in advance of 90 days and all that was paid was the $500 deposit than only a 3% cancellation fee will apply only against the $500 so would cost $15. If a reservation is cancelled with less than 45 days in advance of reservation dates, the reservation fee will only be refunded if the home is rented afterwards on all the same days or portion thereof, and therefore refunded only after the last date of the reservation. All terms are stated in contract. Prior to 45 days any cancellation means all fees paid will be charged a 3% cancellation fee. When in doubt, you might look into travel insurance which may cover any cancellation or other vacation issues for you.

Last Winter booked at better than 90% so I will be likely raising rates this year BUT those who book ahead can lock in rates from last year now. Minimum 5 nights, non holiday, at just $450 per night. Add the usual cleaning fee and tax and security deposit. I will hold dates up until 90 days in advance with a $500 deposit. Dates will fill in very quickly as time gets closer so choose nearly any dates still, and at a discount Now.
