Come enjoy this charming two bedroom (plus loft) waterview cottage overlooking Sebago Lake in southwestern Maine. Well equipped and recently renovated you will enjoy the open floor plan of the Kitchen/Dining Area/Living Room with various views of the lake. First floor has 2 private bedrooms with Queen beds, full bath with seat shower, Full Kitchen, dining area and living room. The open loft area has 2 full size beds and is suitable for children or 2 adults (see photo), and the LR sofa is a full size pull-out bed. Sun yourself on the deck , take a relaxing swing in the hammock, stroll across the road to the Private Homeowners Association Beach and enjoy a dip in the lake. There is also a picnic table and dock for loading and unloading passengers and a small sandy beach. . .come and enjoy Maine . . . "the way life should be!"

On-Site Amenities

This cottage is fully furnished for housekeeping with the exception of linens (sheets and towels), Do plan to bring paper goods. There is a washing machine on the premises and a clothesline in the yard. Just up the road is a campground with coin operated washers and dryers if needed. Also a short walk away you will find a wonderful well stocked General Store with video and DVD rentals and even fresh cooked pizza.

There is High Speed Internet Access along with a DVD/VCR Player and HDTV. Please plan on using your own cell phone for phone access.

This is a great place to enjoy a very relaxing vacation, take a dip in the lake, a nap or read a good book, the choice is yours. Or use it as your 'home base' and explore the many activities throughout the southern Maine / New Hampshire Area

A place for all seasons . . . Spring brings the fishermen in search of the famous “landlocked” Salmon. Summer brings the vacationers who delight in swimming, boating, fishing and summertime activities. The Fall is a beautiful time for 'leaf peeping' with the magnificent autumn colors and the famous Country Fairs.

The cottage is conveniently located approximately 45 minutes from everything! Explore areas such as Old Orchard Beach on the Atlantic Shore, Museums, Dining and Shopping in Old Port in Portland, Cruise Casco Bay, Whitewater Rafting on the Saco River, LL Bean and Outlet Shopping in both Freeport, Maine and North Conway, New Hampshire. The area offers boating, fishing, sailing, golfing, skiing, rafting, biking and hiking adventures, lake cruises and scenic plane rides too!. Or enjoy one of the many quaint villages and shop for antiques, dine on lobster, or perhaps some Summer Theatre in Brunswick is for you. Explore a little further and you will enjoy the lighthouses that dot the Maine coastline, many within a days trip!

Sebago Lake lies in the heart of the Lakes Region. Native Americans gave the lake its name, which means “Big Stretch of Water”. Sebago Lake measures nearly 12 miles in length and 8 miles wide and covers 47 square miles, Sebago is the second largest lake in Maine . Sebago Lake is connected to 11 mile long Long Lake by “the Locks” on Brandy Pond, which is one of the oldest hand operated locks in the country. Enjoy a lazy day riding the Songo River Queen through these locks.

Rental Rate Notes

In Season Summer Rental Period - Begining of July to the begining of September - Weekly Saturday to Saturday Rentals Only during this time frame. Off Season Rental Period - Weekly & Weekend (2-3 Days) Rates Available May, June, September & October. Contact Owner for more info.

Rental Policies

In Season Rental Periods are from Saturday to Saturday - July through the end of August. Off Season Weekly Rates and 2 or 3 day Weekend Rates available in May, June, Sept and October, call or email for more info . Renters are responsible for bringing their own sheets and towels. (Two Queen, Three full size beds). Tableware, cookware and other kitchen items are provided as well as mops, brooms etc. The dock and beach area are well maintained and carefully monitored by the association. Renter will be responsible for any damage to the house or property. It is understood and agreed between TENANT and OWNER that any disturbance resulting in neighborhood complaints or police action shall cause tenancy to be subject to termination forthwith, and all monies to be forfeited. Maximum occupancy is stated in your tenant rental agreement and on the property information sheet. Owners reserve the right to set occupancy limits and on the allowance any pets. A deposit of one half (50%) of the rental rate is required when a reservation is made. The Rental Balance and the Cleaning/Security Deposit ($250) is due 30 days before arrival. There is an additional $50 per pet non-refundable deposit for any rental involving a pet, and the pet must be pre-approved prior to booking stay. A Tenant Rental Agreement will be sent which must be signed and returned along with the deposit payment (50% of total rental), within 14 days. The remaining balance is due 30 days prior to your arrival. Reservations made within 30 days of arrival require payment in full by cash, certified check or money order. A nonrefundable booking fee of $10 is applied at the time of reservation. The State of Maine charges a lodging tax of 7% which will be added to your final payment. A $25 fee will be charged for returned checks. Ask about Discounts for longer rentals (over two weeks) and repeat guests who take good care of the property. The security deposit will be returned within sixty days of your departure provided there is no damage, additional cleaning required or telephone charges. There is High Speed Interent Access availalbe at this cabin. There is a DVD/VCR Player as well as an HDTV. The property and/or it's premises is not to be altered in any way without the express written permission of the owner. The Deposit is not refundable unless the reservation is taken by another party. In the event of cancellation, all monies will be returned minus a $50 processing fee - if the property is re-rented for the entire period reserved. If the property is not re-rented, you will forfeit your advance rental payment. The $250 refundable cleaning deposit will be returned in full if the property is not damaged, home items are not missing, the house is clean and ready for the next rental as outlined in the rental agreement and vacated by check-out time. Check-in time is 3:00 P.M. of the first day rented. Check-out time is 11:00 A.M. of the last day.
