Just off Beech Mountain awaits the charming towns of Banner Elk, Valle Crucis and Blowing Rock. Each of these are home to great restaurants and shopping. Spend time at Grandfather Mountain, Tweetsie Railroad, Linville Caverns, Mystery Hill and the original Mast Store. You may also opt for an outdoor adventure offered by many of the local outfitters. Whether it is whitewater rafting, canoeing, kayaking, horseback riding, rock climbing, caving, or fly fishing, there is no shortage of world class outdoor activities within a 30 minute drive.
