Rates: All rates are quoted by the week, except for ‘long-term’ rates which are monthly. Rates for Easter, Heritage Week and thanksgiving may differ from published rates. Some properties have a three day minimum with the daily rate one-fifth of the weekly quoted rate. We will be glad to help you if your stay is less than a week. Quoted or published rates do not include an administrative booking fee or any applicable taxes (currently 11%). Rates are subject to change without notice.
Arrival/Departure: Check-in time is 4:00pm – Check-out time is 10:00am. These times must be strictly adhered to so that we can have the property properly cleaned and inspected for the arriving guests.
Sofa Bed Linen: Linen and towels will be provided for sleeper sofas for a charge of $35. We must be notified 2 weeks prior to arrival if you wish to have the linen provided.
Express Check-in: As a convenience to our rental guests we send a check-in package 2 weeks before arrival. The package includes keys or code, maps, general information and car passes if necessary. Guests can go directly to the rental property after 4:00pm. Your signed LICENSE agreement and payment in full must be received before the package is sent.
Occupancy: The occupancy of each home or villa is limited to the number of persons indicated in this brochure and on your rental confirmation. Any exception must be approved by our company management. Rental guests must be 25 years or older to make a reservation.
Pets: NO PETS! We love animals but they cannot be permitted because of flea control concerns, allergies, etc. If pets are discovered, rental will be forfeited and a charge of $200 will be assessed for flea treatment of the unit.
ADVANCE RESERVATION: Current guests have the first option to rebook the same property for the following year if the property is available. The advance reservation must be made prior to the current year’s departure.
POOL HEAT: Pool and Spa heat must be scheduled at least 14 days prior to arrival. A flat fee has been determined for different seasons. There can be no refund of the rental if pool equipment fails.
TENNIS: Free tennis applies to most properties. Inquire about specific properties by calling our office.
VACATION SERVICES: Provided by the rental rates and fees include:
Bed and bath linens and towels: two towels, handtowels, washclothes per person
Kitchen/laundry starter amenities: dishwashing detergent, single use box of laundry detergent, roll of paper towels
Starter amenities per bathroom: toilet tissue, bath bar soap, box of facial tissue
Car passes if required for gated communities
Beach towels: one per person for homes with private pools
Advanced check-in: when we have received full payment and signed license agreement
Deposit: Upon making your reservation we ask that you pay 50% of the rental cost as a deposit. We accept checks, VISA/MC, Discover and American Express. Please mail checks to: The Vacation Company, 42 New Orleans Rd. Suite 102, Hilton Head Island, SC 29928.
Balances: Your balance is due 30 days before arrival and can be paid by credit card (VISA/MC/AMEX/Discover) or personal check. A credit card imprint is required as a security deposit for all reservations.
Cancellation: CANCELLATION OF RESERVATIONS LESS THAN 90 DAYS PRIOR TO ARRIVAL DATE FOR HOMES OR 60 DAYS PRIOR TO ARRIVAL DATE FOR VILLAS WILL RESULT IN THE LOSS OF DEPOSIT. IF YOU ARE OUTSIDE OF THE 90 OR 60 DAY PERIOD YOUR DEPOSIT WILL BE REFUNDED MINUS THE CANCELLATION FEE. CANCELLATION FEE FOR HOMES IS 4% OF THE RENTAL RATE AND CANCELLATION FEE FOR VILLAS IS $85.
