Casa Tankah is for the vacation traveler searching for a tropical hideaway where parrots fly overhead early in the morning and sea turtles come to nest. Casa Tankah is located in the lush and beautiful rain forest along the Cancun-Tulum Corridor approximately 75 miles south of Cancun. A private beachfront retreat with a full kitchen, 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. The property is 1/2 acre with 82 feet of spectacular beach frontage. Tankah Bay is about a mile long with the world's 2nd largest barrier reef just off shore. A short stroll north from the house is a refreshing cenote(fresh water spring) and a bar and restaurant called "Casa Cenote". A longer stroll south from the house along the beach brings you to the Mayan ruins of Tulum. Enjoy relaxing in one of many hammocks, watching a Caribbean sunrise, or snorkling in the bay 50 feet in front of the home.

The thing we enjoy the most (and our guests agree), is sitting and relaxing either on the beach in one of our beach chairs or laying in the hammock on the thatch covered patio! You can just sit there for hours and look out at the ocean! Our place is great because we are centrally located to everything and private and secluded if you don't want to do anything at all!! Xel-Ha, (a natural lagoon), & Hidden Worlds, (a cenote park) are less than 5 minutes away! Playa Del Carmen and Puerto Adventous are a 30 minute drive. The Tulum Ruins are a 7 minute drive, (or you can actually walk to them along the beach from our casa), or the Coba Ruins are a 45 minute drive, and well worth it. They are not commercialized at all and they are still uncovering ruins!! There is Manatee Cenote just down the street, an easy walk from our casa, and down the beach is a cluster of about 4 cenotes, all are so refreshing to jump into! Nearby attractions include...Mayan Ruins of Tulum and Coba..Sian Ka'an Biosphere, a beautiful reserve with wildlife & miles of deserted beaches..There is Myan Diving, located down at Dreams Resort. They will come and pick you up or it is a 1/2 mile drive down the road. Cavern and Cenote snorkling and diving. Scuba dive and snorkel right in front of our casa! Snorkling in Xel-Ha and Yal-Ku lagoons..Horseback riding on the beach.. Golf at Puerto Adventuras and Playa Del Carmen..Ferry to Cozumel and Xcaret, a natural water theme park.

Starting May 1st until December 15th, 2009 we will be cutting our prices to help make "Family Vacation" a household word again!! We will lower our nightly rate to $150.00, which will make a weeks stay just $1,050.00! We understand these are tough economic times for everyone so we want to do our part! For just a little over $1,00.00 you can have a beautiful 2 bedroom, 2 bath house right on Tankah Bay!! With our full kitchen you can cut costs even more by cooking breakfast & lunch, even dinner at our casa.
