RENTAL POLICY AND INFORMATION
Prior to making your reservations, we ask that you carefully review our policies and procedures.
REQUIREMENTS: Two (2) night minimum stays are required, except over holiday periods, summer or ski season when minimum stay requirements are longer. Last minute reservations are always welcome but are subject to availability.
PAYMENTS: Payments may be made by personal check, cashiers check, visa/master card (please call) or money order. Personal checks returned will have a $50.00 service fee charged.
CANCELLATION POLICY: Fifty percent (50%)of your deposit is refundable if the reservation is canceled at least 30 days prior to your arrival. No refunds will be issued for cancellations made within 30 days of arrival for any reason.
SECURITY DEPOSIT & HOUSEKEEPING: All rentals require a security deposit. The minimum deposit is $725.00 but may be made higher due to special circumstances. The security deposit must be paid together with the payment of the remaining 50% 30 days before arrival date. Any damages to the unit resulting from misuse, neglect abuse or theft by the guest or any member of his party or invitee will be charged to the security deposit, otherwise, deposits are refundable after keys are mailed back. There is also a $175 housekeeping fee which is non-refundable.
Check-in time is 3:00 PM and check-out time is 12:00 noon. Unauthorized extensions of beyond check out time will result in a half to full day charge against your security deposit. To avoid such charges please call us prior to 11:00 AM to see if a late check out is possible if you are running late in vacating the property.
SUPPLIES: Upon arrival you will find a “starter set” of soaps, toilet paper & paper towels, coffee, tea, cream and sugar. You may want to bring or plan on locally purchasing additional supplies to last your entire stay. There's a new Safeway about five minutes from the house on Lakeshore Blvd (Hwy 50).
FIREWOOD: There is a fireplace in the property. Firewood is not supplied and may be purchased at the local supermarket.
TELEPHONES: There is a telephone line that allows unlimited local calls but will require a calling card or credit card to place long distance calls. The phone number is (530) 544-2018. There is also a VOIP cordless phone that allows unlimited calling in the U.S.. That phone number is sent with the directions to the home. There is high-speed wireless internet at the home. The sign-in ID is sent with the directions to the home.
HOUSEKEEPING: All reservations are subject to a housekeeping charge for departure cleaning. This charge is itemized in your statement. The initial bed linen and one set of bath towels per person are provided. Towels for the beach or jacuzzi are not provided. Guests are asked to leave the house with trash gathered and left in the garbage bins in front of the property, dishes washed or dishwasher started and furniture arranged as upon arrival. Also, do not turn the heater off!!! - please lower the setting to 50 degrees and leave on. If the house is left excessively dirty, your security deposit will be charged for additional cleaning charges. Our housekeeping staff will make the final preparations of the house for the next guests.
PETS: Our property is not designed to safely house pets.
AIR CONDITIONING: As Lake Tahoe enjoys a temperate climate during summer, we do not have air-conditioning.
DEPOSIT: Reservations are confirmed upon receipt of deposit of 50% of total rental charges.
