Casuarina bay is an exceptional beautiful secluded hideaway on the island of Eleuthera in the Bahamas.

The Beachfront affords spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean from every room, amidst a picturesque grove of coconut palms, colorful hibiscus, fragrant frangipani flowers, sea grape and Casuarina trees. Just two lovely houses share a very private beach skirted by miles of stunning pink sand beaches.

The Beachfront House at Casuarina bay was designed and built to savor the incredible natural unspoiled beauty of Eleuthera.It is only 50 feet from its own beautiful sand beach, so wherever you are in the house you have breathtaking views in all directions.

To the east you see the turquoise ocean and glistening beach. Looking to the west your eyes rest on untouched green hills and colorful Caribbean sunsets. At night the brilliance of the stars and moon are unforgettable.

This hand crafted cedar house sleeps 3, with 3 bedrooms (1 king, 1 queen, 2 twins), 2 bathrooms, living and dining room, kitchen and decks on 3 sides plus a private balcony on the second floor overlooking the ocean.

The house is built on a 14 acre estate stretching across to the ocean on other side of the island. The property is filled with lush plants and fragrant tropical flowers. You can relax on our many decks, private beach or in the thatched cabana, where there is a freshwater shower.

This beautiful house is perfect for a family vacation or group of friends looking to relax and enjoy the spectacular beauty of this is magical island.

On-Site Amenities

There is a BBQ area over looking the water and outdoor dinning areas on the deck, in the garden and on the beach.

The house has a fully equipped kitchen including a dishwasher, stove, large fridge, microwave, coffee maker, blender etc. There is satellite TV plus a DVD player and selection of videos and DVDs. There is a phone, CD player and tape deck. Two of the 4 bedrooms have A/C- the main part of the house does not but there are fans in every room.

We supply all bath and beach towels and linens for your stay and there are laundry facilities you are welcome to use. We provide ocean kayaks, boogie boards and other fun beach toys.

Activities and Attractions

Ocean-lovers will find some of the best snorkeling, scuba diving and swimming in the world. Underwater visibility is up to 100 feet, with water temperatures ranging between 70 and 80 degrees Fahrenheit. One can snorkel from right in front of the house or explore the miles of exceptional beaches with our ocean kayaks.

The adventurous traveler can enjoy nearby islands and virgin coral reefs teeming with exotic tropical fish, or charter boats for world-class bone or deep-sea fishing. Other sports available on the island include golf, tennis and surfing.

The stars at night and the moonrise out of the ocean are strikingly beautiful on this remote island paradise.

Easily accessible, Casuarina Bay is just 1 hour by air from Fort Lauderdale or Miami and 15 minutes from Nassau. Casuarina bay is only seven miles from Governors Harbour airport. Our 14 acre sea to sea estate is located 1.5 miles northeast of the charming village of Governors Harbour, one of the oldest settlements in the Bahamas. There you will find food and gift stores, restaurants, bars, bank, clinic, dive shop, bike rentals, library with internet etc.

Rental Policies

Rates are for 6 guests and include use of towels, linens, ocean kayaks. Rate includes all cleaning fees, taxes etc. WE ACCEPT PERSONAL CHECKS, CREDIT CARDS AND WIRE TRANSFER. No charge for children under 6. 5 night minimum stay. $700 refundable damage deposit required. A 50% deposit is required to hold reservation and is due at the time of booking. Balance payment is due 60 days prior to arrival. A refundable damage deposit of $700 is due with the second payment. 50% non-refundable deposit required to hold booking. If cancellation is made 60 days or more prior to stay we can hold the deposit for future booking or refund it, less a 15% change fee. Less than 60 days prior to stay- if property cannot be re-booked payment is forfeited. If vacation is interrupted by a hurricane credit will be given for guests to return at another time free of charge- subject to availability. This policy applies when the island of Eleuthera (central Bahamas) is under Hurricane warning.
