Desert Townhome - Golfing And Art District

Tubac, Arizona has always been a haven for winter visitors. It has grown in recent years adding more restaurants, shopping, art galleries and golfing. This friendly community has a small town atmosphere surrounded by mountains with beautiful sunsets. This small town has several golf courses in and around the town. For years it was a quiet artist colony which was home to many world renown artists. In the last few years streets have been paved and several new galleries have opened in the area. It showcases Southwestern art at its finest. With that growth has come a wider range of restaurants, stores and conveniences while retaining its small town atmosphere. This unit is a block away from the downtown area which is pedestrian or bicycle friendly. Areas for hiking, horseback riding and exploring by car are accessible year round. The weather is mild throughout the winter months making it a great getaway from the ice and snow.

Originally this unit was a model home for the Barrio del Tubac housing development and has Old Mexico decor. It as built in and around an existing mesquite grove making it greener than the usual desert terrain. There are 2 bedrooms, 2 baths plus a den for a total of 1724 square feet. It has all appliances including a washer and dryer. There is a 2 car enclosed garage and patio area with a gas barbecue and patio set. The patio area looks out to a community water feature in a mesquite grove. There is internet hook-up, phone and cable for television which is provided. Tubac, Arizona is 10 minutes from Green Valley, Arizona.

On-Site Amenities

This home has several Old Mexico touches which create a unique atmosphere. The master bath has a large tub with a high a arch and drapes and a separate shower. It also has a large walk-in closet with plenty of space to store items out of your way. The master bedroom looks out onto the mesquite grove where there is a community water feature creating a desert oasis which is accessible through a back gate. The great room has the living room, dining room and kitchen attached with vaulted ceilings creating a spacious feeling in the home. The interior designer had faux painting to accent arched doorways and similar drapes coordinating the various rooms. The kitchen has large rustic spiral cut beams from ceiling to the counter tops hiding the kitchen activities but allowing the chef to visit and see activities in the living and dining areas. The front door is over sized and opens into a entry way area. The walled patio looks out onto the mesquite grove and water feature with a gas barbecue and patio set. The enclosed two car garage is entered from the street which leads into the laundry area for a separate entrance into the home and then directly into the kitchen to unload groceries. There are side walks in the development and several community areas to meet others and go for a walk. One of the best things about this area is its quiet, relaxed atmosphere. There are beautiful sunrises and sunsets and nights full of starry skies.

Rental Rate Notes

The rent is $900/mo. without furnishings or utilities for a six month or longer lease or $1300/mo furnished plus utilities with a long term lease. For short term lease (less than 6 months) the rate is $1500/mo furnished with utilities. We are flexible and are happy to work with you to meet your needs and provide additional information.

Rental Policies

We try to make your experience with us as friendly as possible. We do allow smoking outside the unit in the patio area. We also are happy to have well-trained pets but do require a pet deposit. Rent is calculated by the month but we can do parts of a month contiguous with the first 30 days i.e. a 45 day stay. We try to be flexible and meet your needs and help you with information about the area. To hold a reservation we require 1/2 months rent. Once you have checked into the unit we retain a $200 damage deposit until the end of your stay. The $200 is returned if there are no damages to the unit and it is left in order. An additional $100 is required if there is a pet in the unit. We are happy to inspect the unit before your departure to avoid any misunderstandings. If a deposit is made and the reservation is canceled we immediately attempt to rent the unit. We then prorate the deposit over the number of days that it cannot be rented and return the balance.
