Description of the Property
Enjoy a comfortable cottage in the Flagstaff pines. 3 Queen beds sleep six, and the LazyBoy leather couch folds out to sleep 2 more. Enjoy refreshing pine breezes on two porches and a flagstone patio - great relief from Arizona's summer heat. Spend warm winters by the woodstove. Cook for the bunch in a spacious kitchen, and eat at dining table for six plus counter space, or order out - front door to any downtown location is 20 minutes - parking and walking included.
I'm gone for work extensively, so I welcome people; friends and others, to stay and enjoy my home. As it is occasionally lived in, some personal things are at the house, so the garage and master closet are not public, but the rest of the house is for your use. All bed linens, towels, dishes, cookware, etc. are provided. There's often condiments and fresh food in the fridge, and anything on the 'pantry' shelves you're welcome to use if needed. Follow the rule of "take some, leave some, there'll always be some".
Watch DVD (I have some there) on the TV or listen to radio on the stereo. No I don't have cable/satellite with hundreds of channels to keep you on the couch - get outside and enjoy the area - that's why you're here isn't it?
Attractions Walk/Bike through the friendly roads in Kachina Village and the local forest roads - head a mile down to Pumphouse Wash and hike in the neighborhood, see elk in the Kachina meadow, or visit the San Francisco Peaks, Wupatki/Sunset Crater, Meteor Crater, Grand Canyon, Oak Creek Canyon and Sedona. Lots of other places to be outside. Lots of shops, restaurants, (Sushi) bars and attractions around town. Be sure to check out The Orpheum Theater and the Pinewood Ampitheater - they're great venues for live shows.and Karma Sushi on the main drag across from the train station is phenomenal!
Rates Cost is $175/night or a weekly rate of $1100 plus tax. There is a 3 night minimum to save an additional $75 cleaning charge. I require a security deposit by putting a hold on your card, but you can pay for your visit by Visa, MasterCard, or PayPal. Cash is also still acceptable :^) [Cashiers checks also accepted, with 10 day advance or until it clears your bank.
Holidays and other high use times are $25 more per night, and $1200 per week. Check in after 3pm, check out before noon. Leave things clean and tidy (strip the beds, run the dishwasher) and I won't have to send somebody to come talk to you. ;^). Damages or heavy cleaning will be charged to your card.
Pets permitted with prior approval and additional charge. No smoking in the house. Use the porch and a butt can or ashtray and don't burn down our beautiful Northern Arizona woods. ;^)

The back yard is large, treed, fenced, and features a horseshoe pit and flagstone patio and Weber grill. Landscaping is a work in progress - we only get 90 days of frost-free, and I'm still getting some new plants going each year, then a hard winter comes and I start over back a couple steps. That's life in the high country. :^)

With PayPal I don't have to get your card # from you and it is the most secure way to do the transaction. You DO NOT need a PayPal account just a card or your bank number. No cashiers checks. Check in after 3pm, check out before noon (both are flexible with prior arrangement). CANCELLATION If you need to cancel; notify me more than 4 weeks in advance and I'll refund all minus whatever card fees I incur (usually just under 4%) and hope you come visit another time; with 2-4 weeks notice I'll refund your payment except the deposit, unless I can re-rent it. With less than 2 weeks notice there will not be a refund, but I'll gladly reschedule your visit during the next year and credit you for the cancellation, and likely make you a good deal on that stay.
