Aloha & thank you for your interest in our beachfront vacation home, the Ehukai Hale "Seaspray House". The Ehukai Hale is located in Hale Koolau, a family owned & operated group of ocean & beach front vacation rental homes in Honolulu, Hawaii located in the fishing town of Hauula on Oahu's North Shore near the Polynesian Cultural Center, Turtle Bay, Kualoa Ranch, and many other wonderful Oahu attractions. We are located approximately 45 minutes from Honolulu International Airport on the North East coast of Oahu; where the Ko'olau Mountains touch the Pacific Ocean. Our community of single family homes, small shops, and quaint restaurants is very different from the high rise retail/ tourist center of Waikiki. With hiking trails and unspoiled reefs, we offer a glimpse of the Oahu of yesteryear with convenient access to the night life and modern pleasures of Honolulu & Waikiki.
The Ehukai Hale "Sea Spray Home" is a gorgeous 3 bedroom/2 bathroom, direct oceanfront cottage-style vacation rental home on the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii. With endless views of Hauula Bay and the expansive Ko'olau Mountain Range, this vacation home provides perfect accommodations for large or multi-generational families wanting to experience old Hawaii all under the same roof. With room for up to 10 guests, families can enjoy all the beauty Hauula has to offer together.
This updated "Hawaiian style" cottage circa 1930s has a dramatic "wall of windows" in the main living area overlooking the ocean and Hauula Bay. The main portion of the house is an air conditioned & spacious two bedroom, one bathroom area with porcelain tile floors throughout. It features a complete, modern, open and renovated kitchen with granite countertops, sealed top stove/range, dishwasher, built-in microwave, fridge, and all the cooking utensils you need to prepare complete meals. The kitchen opens to the living area with a convenient breakfast bar/nook while enjoying direct ocean views. The living area is richly decorated with warm tropical & plantation style furniture and also has wrap-around breath-taking ocean views. There is a queen size sleeper sofa in the living room. In the dining room area the original red wood beams have been exposed and creative lighting illuminates the ceiling. The master bedroom has tranquil garden views and features a Sealy pillow-top queen size bed. The second bedroom also has a Sealy pillow-top queen size bed and heavy teak and tropical furniture for an elegant feel. Both bedrooms of this vacation home have individually controlled ultra quiet mini-split air conditioning and tropical ceiling fans, however they are rarely needed as this rental enjoys cool tropical ocean breezes year round.
The other part of the home, which can be used as a separate studio or "in-law" is a spacious (500+ sf living area) bedroom and bathroom suite with ceramic tile floors throughout. The kitchen and bathroom were both completely remodeled in early November 2006. The open kitchen has maple cabinetry and granite countertops, a full size stove/range, built-in microwave, full size fridge, and all the cooking utensils you need to prepare complete meals. The kitchen opens to the living area with a convenient breakfast bar/nook. The living area is richly decorated with warm tropical & plantation style furniture and enjoys direct ocean views. There is a queen size futon and teak dining table in the living area, all illuminated by a large sky light. The bed area has a queen size bed just 20 feet away from the gentle surf. This part of the vacation home also enjoys wonderful tropical breezes year around, however there is a ceiling fan and individually controlled, ultra quiet mini-split air conditioning as well.

Enjoy relaxing on our expansive Oceanside yards. Hale Ko’olau has over 400 linear feet of beach/oceanfront. There is plenty of area for sunbathing on the beach or on the grassy yard. Watch spectacular sunrises while soaking in one of our nearby hot tubs. Stroll down the beach to the Hauula beach park and coral preserve for some great snorkeling and swimming or take our ocean kayaks out for some adventure. Close by are world famous North Shore attractions such as the Hauula hiking trails & preserve, Polynesian Cultural Center, Turtle Bay Resort & Golf, Brigham Young University, Sunset Beach, Waimea Bay, Kualoa Ranch and the last unspoiled "Hawaiian" style towns on Oahu. Rental Rate Notes
Our rates are based upon the number of nights you stay, with 3 nights minimum. For reservations of 3 nights or more $399.98/night, for 5 nights or more $349.98/night, and for 7 nights or more $299.98/night. We charge a flat rate of $3,227.00 for reservations covering Christmas or New Year's Holiday. This rate covers up to 7 nights. Additional nights are billed at the normal nightly rate. Christmas reservations must vacate by December 29 and New Years reservations cannot arrive earlier than December 29. Reservations which include both Christmas and New Years are billed a flat rate of $6,454.00 and cover up to 14 nights. Additional nights are billed at the normal rate. All rates quoted are based upon six (6) person occupancy and are charged based upon the number of nights you stay. Absolute minimum requirement for booking a reservation is three (3) nights. Minimum requirement for Christmas, New Year's, Thanksgiving, Easter and BYU Graduation (Spring) is 7 nights. Minimum requirement for Memorial Day, Labor Day and Fourth of July is 5 nights. Add $15.99 daily charge for each additional guest over six (6) person occupancy up to a maximum of ten (10) people, including children over 1 year of age. Two (2) parking stalls are provided for this vacation rental home. Extra parking may be ordered through our secure online reservations system. Add a one-time, non-refundable, $150.00 cleaning fee to all reservations. Until confirmed, rates and fees are subject to change without notice. Any changes to the reservation after the agreement is accepted and the deposit is paid will be subject to a one-time $100 administrative processing charge. If you cancel after final payment has been made, or after arrival at the property, you agree to forfeit all rents prepaid except for any amount we are able to recover through re-renting the property. We reserve the right to re-rent the property for less than the amount you agreed to pay and will refund only the amount we are able to recover. No exceptions to this policy will be made for any reason.
