Description of the Property
The cabin sits on 1 FULL acre above Dollywood and Splash Country. Parrot Mountain Park is at the bottom of our hill! The cabin setting is quiet with the only noise being the local wildlife. During certain times of the day, you can faintly hear the tropical birds from Parrot Mountain Park below. You can drive 1/4 mile to the entrance of Dollywood and Splash Country. We also have easy access to the Pigeon Forge Strip and Gatlinburg, without the headache of getting trapped in the slow traffic jam on the main strip. Instead, pick where you want to go and use the simple back routes to get there in no time. The cabin is surrounded by woodlands on all sides, except for the clearing of the view. Have seclusion while still being in the middle of it all! We took a long time to find this perfect location. We did not want a cabin built on a shear cliff (if you have kids or a long night with friends, no need to worry about going skydiving unintentionally). We also did not want a cabin built right on top of other cabins with the feel of being in a condo development. This cabin fit that criteria! We are sure you will also appreciate it yourself! A campfire pit in the front so you can roast marshmallows while checking out the view of the mountains or night time lights of the Pigeon Forge Strip and Gatlinburg Ski Slope, still having the feeling of camping in the woods ALL at the same time!

Our cabin has 2 bedrooms and 2 full baths, both have King size beds. The master on the main also has a Jacuzzi tub. There are 3 Queen size pull out sofas. 1 is on the main level and the other 2 are downstairs in the media room. If you want to continue your vacation party and are worried about waking the kids.....Don't! Tuck them in downstairs and they will get a good night's sleep. Every bedroom has a TV/DVD.
For those that need to work or the kids that want to play on the computer, we have WI-FI. Also, bring your IPods! We have an IPod docking station so you can listen to the music you like to hear.
Tired from seeing the sites all day, grab one of the aluminum tubs and stands from inside, fill with ice, stock with your favorite beverage, get in the hot tub and RELAX! No need to keep getting out! Except, of course, for the bathroom. ;)
Keep having fun into the night! Upstairs, we have a black felt pool table, darts, table, chairs and chips for poker and a 36" tv, so you don't have to miss "The Game"
Down in the media room is a 50" big screen TV. Relax on the sofas and watch your favorite DVD. Play XBOX or any of the other board games stashed inside the coffee table.
Head to one of the local supermarkets and stock up for your stay. Our kitchen is fully stocked with all the utensils, pots, pans, etc. that you need for those delicious meals. Pick up a bag of charcoal and have a cookout on the grill. Enjoy your meal at the bar height dining table that seats 8.
Cozy up on the deck on the Adirondack furniture and enjoy the views! You can see Ober Gatlinburg Ski Resort and you can hear the Dollywood train.
There is also a firepit at the front of the cabin so you can roast marshmallows while checking out the daytime view of the mountains or night time lights of the Pigeon Forge Strip and Gatlinburg Ski Slope, while still having the feeling of camping in the woods high up in the mountains.

PAYMENT POLICY: Minimum 3 night rental Stay 5 to 6 nights Get 1 FREE 5 Nights Required for Christmas Weeks No Cleaning Or Registration Fees Rates vary depending on time of year. We accept credit card, or check w/$250 security deposit (must clear prior to rental) Tax Rate: 12.5% SPECIAL OFFER: If you stay 5 or more nights you get an additional night free!! (same stay - except Holidays) No Cleaning Fee or Reservation Fees ($95 value compared to cabins that charge this fee) Cancellation Policy: Reservations: Payment in full is required if you are checking-in within 30 days. Half of the balance and/or damage deposit is due at the time of reservation. A signed copy of this Rental Agreement must be in our possession within 5 days after the day you reserve the cabin. A Damage/Security Deposit and Waiver is required for all rentals unless paying by credit card. Cancellation Policy: If you cancel your reservation less than 60 days before check-in, you will forfeit your down payment and or deposit. You may reschedule another date within 6 months and reapply the entire deposit or down payment to a new reservation date if you cancel 30 days or more before check-in. Every effort will be made by the owners of Thistle Britches to correct any problems you may encounter during your stay, however, there are NO Refunds. No credit will be given for shortened stays due to late arrival or early departure for any reason. No refunds or cancellations will be given due to inclement weather or road conditions. Rules: Only Pets considered are small to medium sized dogs, over 1 year old. Must bring crate to house the pet while you are away. Pets must be experienced travelers. $75/per stay pet fee.
