St. Martin, sometimes referred to as St Maarten or Sint Maarten, is an island in the Caribbean known for its beautiful beaches. This island is quite unique in the fact that it is the smallest place in the world to be shared by two different nations—part of the island is French territory and part of it is owned by the Netherlands Antilles, so it is Dutch. St Martin has become known as a yachting destination so if you’re into that, head over to the Simpson Bay Lagoon to catch a glimpse of some of the multi-million dollar yachts parked there. Guests of St. Martin beach rentals will be happy to be so close to some of the best beaches in the world, the beach at Grand Case is one to try with its sugar sand beaches and family-friendly appeal. Lounging and sunbathing is encouraged but if you’re a little more adventurous, you can try scuba diving, deep sea diving, fishing, boating, sailing, horseback riding, kayaking and snorkeling. Guests of St. Martin vacation homes and St. Martin vacation rentals who want to see more of the island can do so—there’s also golf, tennis and hiking to be done.
