North Ocean Park can be accessed through the Northeast 16th Street to Hillsboro Inlet.
Fort Lauderdale Beach
Probably one of the most popular beaches in Broward County is the one in Fort Lauderdale. This city features over 7 miles of sandy beach with a wavewall and beachfront promenade. Aside from the beach itself, the main draw to this beach is the array of restaurants, shops, cafes and entertainment buildings along the coastline. A wide variety of activities are also available, including wind surfing, jet skiing, boating and snorkeling. Besides the water activities, you can play volleyball and roller blade along the beach. You will also find several lifeguards 200 yards from each other. The public beach in Fort Lauderdale is 2 miles in length, spanning the South Beach picnic area all the way to the Hugh Taylor Birch State Park.
