Helena's Hawaiian Food is one of the few restaurants to have received this award. The menu is simple, and you may want to select one of the 4 predesigned standard menus, especially Menu D, which includes Kalua Pig, Lomi Salmon, Pipikaula Short Ribs and Luau Squid. Any dish can be upgraded to include a side (or 2) of poi or white rice. Portions are generous, so guests will have plenty of leftovers to enjoy back at their Hawaii Kai houses. 

Yama's Fish Market

Located near the corner of Young Street and Isenberg near Puck's Alley, Yama's Fish Market is just a short drive away from Hawaii Kai. This restaurant is a great choice when looking for a quick order you can just pick up and take to the beach or enjoy back at your Hawaii Kai house. This restaurant has a good variety of daily-made, fresh poke, which include choices such as wasabi avocado, spicy ahi and shoyu ahi. The portions are big and one order is good enough for 2. Be aware that this place does not have a sit-in section and only offers 2 tables outside.
