Point Pleasant Vacation Rentals Listings, and Top Attractions along the Boardwalk

If you are planning on a vacation at New Jersey, then staying at one of the Point Pleasant vacation rentals is the best option. While staying here you can enjoy a lovely day and lively evenings at the Point Pleasant Boardwalk. For more than 100 years, locals and tourists alike have been relishing the leisure walks on the Boardwalk at the beach. The Boardwalk is filled with amusement rides, food stands, arcades and street shops.

Jenkinson's Amusements

Just next to Little Silver Lake, Jenkinson's Amusements is filled with exciting rides for kids and grownups. The northern area of the amusement park is meant for children and the rides in the southern area are for adults. It's open to visitors during spring, summer and fall with different hours. Be sure to plan your visit during the Wristband Day every Tuesday and Wristband Night every Friday, to take advantage of the $15 price (as of 2010).

Jenkinson's Aquarium

Open throughout the year to public, Jenkinson's Aquarium hosts two floors of displays, exhibits and tanks that hold colorful and bizarre fish, mammals and even birds. Don't miss the feeding time at the aquarium, which is the most popular among visitors. You can even have a look and enjoy the fossil room and the petting tank. The aquarium is accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums, and it holds several workshops and sessions with children.

Martell's Tiki Bar

If you have spent an entire day at the amusement area, aquarium and the shopping arcades, then go to Martell's Tiki Bar. The Martell pier extends out to the beach and offers great evening entertainment that includes food, arcade games and the very popular Tiki Bar. The Tiki Bar also provides live entertainment in the evenings.

Jenkinson's Entertainment Complex

If you're looking for another hot spot besides Mardell's pier, Jenkinson's Entertainment Complex is the place to go. The Jenks Club is a great place to dance all night to great music and to listen to live bands and DJs. If youre at the Boardwalk on a Sunday evening, don't miss the Flying Mueller Brothers who play every week through the summer months.

Point Pleasant Beach/Jenkinson's Beach

If the weather is great, Jenkinson's Beach, which is located just next to the Point Pleasant Broadwalk, is a great beach to spend time at. Open daily from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Jenkinson's Beach is a fabulous place to hang out from Memorial Day Weekend right up to Labor Day. The beach is also safe for families, since there are well-trained life guards on duty during the opening hours. You can even rent umbrellas and comfy beach chairs. All these make your day at the beach relaxing and refreshing.

If you are already excited about all the activities at the Boardwalk, then find a nearby Point Pleasant vacation home. You can search for rental listings at VacationHomes.com, where you can sort your options based on price, type, size and location.
