They could also drive the 20 minutes to Disney World to visit Mickey Mouse and the gang and enjoy the rides that thrill visitors. Epcot Center is another destination worth seeing as well as Disney's Hollywood studios and Disney's Animal Kingdom Park. Visitors who prefer to stay in Southern Dunes vacation homes will enjoy visiting Legoland, which was formerly Cypress Gardens, in nearby Winter Haven to enjoy the many thrilling rides there. Or they may prefer to drive to either the Gulf or Atlantic Coast for the day. Both are about an hour's drive away and feature terrific beaches as well as deep sea fishing, scuba and snorkeling and just plain lying in the sun to catch some rays. Another day trip that the entire family would enjoy is to Cape Canaveral, where an interactive museum is sure to impress.
