Alma Colorado is a small mountain town of less than 200 residents with a unique mining history. Alma sits at an elevation of around 10,355 feet and the SweetHome Mine still produces rhodochrosite - a mineral famous for it's eye-popping pink color. The area is popular for mountain-hiking and ghost-hunting as well as watersports. Points of interest include Kite Lake (at 12,400 feet), Buckskin Joe - a groovy ghost town, and Alma's Spooky Cemetery.
