Incorporated in 1946, Michiana Michigan is a tiny resort community located in the heart of Duneland. This small village offers access to a portion of the 300 plus miles of sand dunes that sit along the shores of Lake Michigan. Botanists and nature lovers frequent the area as well as bird lovers. Michiana is also home to at least 20 species of birds and it is a migratory stopping point for more than 100 different types of waterfowl, songbirds, and other types of birds. Michiana is art of Berrien County Michigan, which has a total population of around 162,500. Of this, only 200 live in Michiana.
