Huntington Beach, California features long stretches of beautiful sandy, beach and miles and miles of scenic jogging and biking paths. Visitors can watch the locals surfing or one of the numerous surfing competitions that take place each year from an endless pier that houses an amphitheater. The pier is the longest in California. You can also visit the International Surfing Museum, or the Surfing Hall of Fame for some interesting information and visuals related to the history of surfing. And, if you get thirsty or you're looking to do some shopping, just walk across the street and down Main Street where you'll find coffee houses, restaurants, beach boutiques, and even a calming Yoga center. Not to be missed as well is Old World Village where you'll find more interesting shops and restaurants wit a dab of European flavor. Just before the sun sets, head to Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve and Wetlands. The reserve is home to many endangered species and more than 200 species of birds.
