Sebastian Vacation Homes for Sale

Sebastian Basics

Sebastian Florida can be found on the Atlantic seacoast in the northeast section of Indian River County. Sebastian is home to Pelican Island, a three-acre natural mangrove island in the lagoon, which is also the country's first National Wildlife Refuge. Unlike other parts of Florida where non-stop bustle and tourist crowds are commonplace, Sebastian has a laid-back atmosphere and it is considered off-the-beaten path - although the Disney resort is nearby. The area is popular with people in the know for surfing and fishing as well as eco-tourism in the Sebastian River Area. Tall pine trees, bald eagles, loggerhead turtles, and manatees are just a few of the sights visitors to Sebastian will see. The area also has nature walks, the McLarty Treasure Museum and Mel Fisher's Treasure Museum.
