Oak Island Basics

Located in North Carolina's Brunswick County, The Town of Oak Island has a population of roughly 6,500 residents and is considered a year round vacation destination. Oak Island is part of the Southport-Oak Island community, which is made up of six municipalities including the towns of Caswell Beach, Oak Island (Long Beach and Yaupon Beach) and the Village of Bald Head Island. These six municipalities combined account for 28 miles of sandy beaches and some of the most prominent lighthouses in the state of North Carolina.
