Visitors to Ocracoke Island are in for a treat! Repeat visitor's say this island feels like you're on your private island, as crowds are non-existent and beaches appear untouched. This barrier island on the southernmost Outer Banks of North Carolina can only be reached by private boat, private plane, or one of only three ferries. The island is part of the Cape Hatteras National Seashore and it is one of the top three destinations in the world for shipwreck scuba diving.
